The food was absolutely awful. We went for Valentine’s Day and they had a very limited menu of only lobster bisque for a starter, and a choice of two options for dinner, either a cioppino or a prime rib. This was not a prix fix menu, just an extremely limited menu without the ability to order from their regular menu. I ordered the cioppino and my husband ordered the prime rib medium rare. Our waiter returned after our order and told us “at this time of the night, we are unable to serve the prime rib at medium rare and it will be medium instead.” Our reservation was for 8pm and we were exactly on time. Maybe the prime rib sat under a warmer for hours? The prime rib came out completely well done, not even close to medium. My cioppino was much worse. It was a small bowl of thick tomato sauce mixed with a tiny amount of minced fish. There were no chunks of fish, calamari, shrimp, or anything else to speak of. There were only three stringy mussels and one stringy clam in the entire dish. It was the most underwhelming and worst cioppino I’ve ever had. It was a tiny amount in a small bowl that was billed as an entree. On the bright side, perhaps a small amount of terrible food is better than a large amount of terrible food?

My small and awful cioppino was $36 and my husband’s well done prime rib was around $50 I think?

We ordered a good bottle of Bordeaux was this was the only bright spot of the night.

Our evening at Cuvee reminded me why we so rarely go out on...

More like 4.5 🌟, but I'll round up on this one. We attended a 5 course/5 wine dining event which was lead by the owner, and the importer for the Italian wines to be experienced, both sommeliers. The experience may vary for a regular dinner & drinks date.

We were met with great hospitality from the moment we entered the door from the greeter, fellow patrons, and the owner all in the 5 mins we were early for the event, before heading to the designated area for the first course of wine, and appetizers. The environment was pleasant, and well decorated.

Overall the experience was fulfilling, and educational. My only reluctance to say whole hearted that the place deserves a full 5 stars on every aspect, was the food itself. With each progressive course, the selected menu was progressively unsatisfying, and less imaginative both in flavor, and presentation. Mind the fact though the appetizers in the first course were exceptional, with the final course closed the range at "nothing to write home about". Which was disappointing, because everything else was so impressive. Definitely plan on returning in the future, maybe just for a regular dining...

I had been to Cuvée a few times and enjoyed the restaurant very much. But my friend and I were there for New year’s Eve. Reservation were for 6:30. Very noisy table next to us with children. To start. We had a nice waitress. Got soup and it was ver good. Paired with wine. We waited quite a while to order the next course. No waitress. Scott came over and took the order. Salmon was fine but the presentation with the woody asparagus was left to be desired. Just a few asparagus you could not eat. Wine was fine. So quite a time past by, one guy came over took my plate and glass while my friend was still eating. Not good practice. Waitress comes along ask if we wanted our check. Now you understand there was still the cheese plate and desert. So no we asked for the menu. So a while later she brings the menu and said we had a few minutes and we would have ti leave. So I saw red, gave her the menu back and said. Bring the check. Now my friend was finishing her wine and Scott came over to see if we had a good time. Si no i told him how we felt and he apologized I am very disappointed for a New Years...

First time here, was in the neighborhood getting my nails done and thought I could go for some wine and a bite to finish off my evening. Fantastic old fashioned, one of the best I’ve had, I also enjoyed a glass of rosé. I kinda wanted a nicer dinner, maybe a steak or some charcuterie, but my server suggested the burger so I gave it a try. It was decent, nothing particularly wrong with it but from a nicer restaurant I have higher expectations and I felt like it was missing an acidic ingredient to marry all of the flavors together. The sweetness of the brioche with the nuttiness of the provolone could be balanced with some salt or an acid. Mostly, I just felt that the atmosphere was strange? It looks like a nice restaurant, but no one greeted me when I came in, no host stand, I felt like two servers just stared at me like they didn’t know why I was here, and I had no idea where I was supposed to go, it was super awkward and overall got the impression the whole time that I was vaguely unwelcome or l I felt like I was under some sort of investigation. A girl just wanted a drink and some nice food!

I have no idea how this place has 4.9 stars. My husband and I were greeted by a lovely man in an untucked shirt with sneakers who sat us in the front room that closely resembles a conference room. Complete with carpet squares, floor to ceiling blinds, and pixelated canvases of grapes. Our waitress was lacking and very unversed in the wine menu. She also completely forgot to bring a glass of wine and never remembered. The charcuterie plate is a complete joke. Listen I’m all about spending money for good food and good presentation. This was the saddest thing I have ever spent $25 on. Their most expensive option should have more than 3 blackberries on it. At least put it on a smaller board so it’s not so sad and mention that’s it’s small bites. My two year old could have put together a better board. I was excited to find a sommelier in Kentucky but one that has a $7 (cost to them) Castle Rock Bottle on the wine list is a complete joke and 100% there to bamboozle it’s guests. Being in the industry, I expected more from this place.
