I was treated terrible & lied too! They covered bowel movement from over flowed commode with towels for the weekend. I was long term promised $49 a night as long as I wanted to stay. During covid, house keepers didn't have to wear Gloves, one of house keepers' husband died of covid. I caught covid, was very ill and treated poorly as if I was just a sick old woman. In December of 23, the floor lamp was unproperally placed on the floor, when I walked to thermostat to adjust, ended up onto the floor. 2 people at front desk REFUSED to help me OFF the floor! I was hurt to bad to get up so I had to crawl to get my phone. The front desk wouldn't event call 911!!!!!!!! Finally, after struggling to crawl to my phone I was able to call 911 & EMS came, took me to the hospital on December 8. I was admitted for several days & then transferred to rehab until December 29. 2023. I called cooperate office & a lady said she would try and get me reimbursed from the extended stay while I was away in hospital and rehab. This never happened of course. Why am I so late in writing this review you may wonder. I have tried and tried, even speaking to District manager who promised to meet with me in March of 2024, take me to dinner, allow me to give my complete story & promised he would take off some of these charges. I texted him I believe April of 2024 asking what happened to March. I was ignored after all of his great promises. Even though I was promised a certain rate not to change. It was changed. Most of 23, I was charged regular rates most of the time. I never got reimbursed for the time I was in the hospital and rehab due to the negligence of the extended stay. I have loved extended stays with my travel, etc for over 9 years. So it's years that I've spent in extended stays; usually, I became friends with all managers. Out of all extended stays, this was by far the worst EVER!!! I have contacted corporate residence inn/ marriot with no one helping. I called a previous manager asking what I could do. His advice, go to the internet. I would have earlier but the fall left me weak to get out of there. I was told off by front desk when the heat didn't work, treated like I was a liar. Commode issues finally got resolved but prior I was told it was me. It was a nightmare and much more and no reimburses like I was promised. I know I'm late due to calling so many places and no results but please HELP...
Read moreIn writing--and contemplating about--these reviews, I (and hopefully you, the reader) should understand hotel stay experiences can not only be subjective, but also contingent on 1. Expectations, 2. Staff present at the exact time of your stay, 3. Other guests 4. Current affairs at the location, and 5. Events unforseen. (Sorry for the massive run-on).||My goal with the reviews I write is to mostly warn people of horrible establishments. ||If I have a positive experience, I certainly want to share that as well! BUT it isn't a guarantee that my positive experience means you will have one as well. In other words, if I rate a place positively, please don't hold me to it. Lord knows a positive stay can very quickly turn into a negative one in many ways.||One last rant: Once upon a time, reserving a hotel stay was a luxury experience. Hotels were great. Great locations. Great structures. Great staff. Today , finding an amazing hotel at a value is like finding a warm blanket in a snow storm! During the pandemic, (when it was difficult to staff positions) a traumatizing decline in quality of staff and service took place. As with most cost-cutting measures, conglomerates decided to keep with that tradition, the tradition of lining their pockets meanwhile not delivering on their word. ||Hotel staff no longer are of the orientation of understanding that they are in a service industry. My experiences as of late reflect staff who feel that you should feel privileged to stay at said establishments. ||That said. I recommend this hotel tentatively. I did for certain enjoy my stay. But whether that was because I "stayed off the radar," or because the hotel generally is okay, I couldn't tell you. ||I can tell you some staff members were greatly inept, and some staff were justly simply very rude. If you get lucky, you can score. But it could be a bust. I had a comfortable stay. ||I most appreciated that no one entered the room during our extended stay (which is a very high selling point and I did very much appreciate that). Again. Whether that's across the board, or just my experience, I couldn't say. ||If you find it at a great price, I say, give it a whirl! It is a bit outdated. Certainly not the cleanest. But there are windows that open fully (which LOVED!!! Vent away all that trapped air & dust, baby!!!), and the A/C systems are very ROBUST!||I'll be here all night, don't forget to tip...
Read moreWe had a family emergency and needed to rent a suite so that we could travel with my two little kids (3years and 1 year). Upon arrival, 1:30 am, we arrived in our room and the lighting was dim and the room very dingy. My daughter's feet were black after walking around for just a few minutes. (I took a photo comparing her feet after wiping one). The pack and play was not put together, so I had to put it together. I could not set my one year old on the disgusting floor/carpet. Once I got it together, the mattress pad didn't fit. Had to call down for a replacement. They couldn't bring it to us, so my dad (thank goodness he was with me!) had to take the old one down and get the new. (Understandable, considering it's a skeleton crew that hour of the day). The couch was definitely dirty, and the mattress was gross (no protector and couldn't get a fitted sheet to fit, and the blanket had holes). I used a blow up bed for my daughter once my husband was able to make it up for our last two nights there.
Our suite was TINY, but everything else WAS clean (although I made sure using my own Clorox wipes).
Customer service was AMAZING. They responded to all of our concerns and fixed things as soon as possible (our shower wasn't working correctly, solved very quickly. Also our toilet clogged and was resolved quickly).
Stanley steamer was actually there to clean carpets during our stay, so that was vastly improved, although the carpet was so worn and torn it still wasn't safe for my baby to be on the floor at all.
Room service must be requested the day before. We only requested it twice, and couldn't get it the second time due to staffing issues.
There was a full fridge, a stove top, and a microwave. There was also a dishwasher. The indoor pool was not heated, although the room was, and the tiling is definitely due for an update, but we had fun and the water was clean.
Overall our stay ended up being comfortable, although the pricing was definitely not a value for what we received. We happened to also be there for a busy weekend and the rate was outrageous ($40 more per night, which I was not aware of due to making reservations over the phone). Thankfully the service was great, because that definitely improved how I was feeling after our feelings...
