Target is Target is Target.
For the most part Target is copy/paste no matter where you go. That being said, of the 3 that we visit regularly, this has got to be the busiest. Granted, it's in an enormous retail megalopolis so foot traffic is going to make that happen.
On a recent Saturday we were in the area doing some other shopping and Target was our destination. To be honest, after having been to 5 or 6 other retail outlets Jim was about wiped out. Into Target we went anyway.
My sole complaint about this location is the parking/entry situation. The store is basically on the corner and right by the entrance from the street into what I'm suddenly going to call the Parking Village, so it can be a challenge for both the driver and for pedestrians. Keep your eyes open, people, and stay off your phone when you're driving in this areay.
For being inside the Christmas shopping season (Let's face it, it starts November 1 any more) the store, while busy, wasn't crowded. After stops at a few departments for some Targeted (see what I did there?) items (Brand New ABA CD? Yes, please, and thank you!) we decided to browse a bit.
I was glad that Christmas wasn't out in full force. It had a presence, but we weren't in full-hype Christmas mode. Thanks for not rushing it.
Most of the shelves were well stocked and there was no clutter of pallets in any of the aisles (like some other retail establishments.) Paper products could have been replenished but for the most part things were in great shape.
This is one of the few retail places I've been to recently where I didn't have to send out a search party for someone to give me assistance locating something. I looked around a corner and there was a young lady there who knew exactly where the self-sealing stem bolts were located.
I'm still on the fence about the updated snack bar/Starbucks arrangement in some Target locations. I mean, it's cool and much more self-sufficient, but at the same time I was pretty used to the way things used to be. But we move forward, not backward.
Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate...
Read moreReviewing the online ordering for in-store pickup service. Out of 16 items I ordered, 13 items were no longer available (6 1/2 hours after ordering, while the store was closed), and rather than finding out if i wanted to cancel the whole order or have it partially filled, It was just partially filled. I don't even understand how there was inventory last night at 1am, but this morning at 7:30am, everything was gone. I went in to the store to get the two items that were fulfilled, and checked the shelves for other items. I was shocked at how empty the shelves were. Someone definitely didn't do their job if the last weekend before Christmas, you don't have Christmas stuff to sell. Then I had to wait in line behind a bunch of returns to pick up the items that were waiting for me and already paid for. It looks like there might be a separate desk for picking up online orders, but there was nothing indicating I should wait there instead, there were no employees at it, and the employees at the returns desk didn't tell me that's where to go for pick-ups. Skip this service and just go pick the items up yourself - it's faster and less frustrating. And if you're considering buying stuff at Target instead of elsewhere specifically because they offer online ordering for pick-up (like I did), save yourself the hassle and just go to a...
Read moreTarget is More Than a Store—It’s an Experience!
Let’s be honest—nobody walks into Target and leaves with just the one thing they came for. Target is like a magical vortex where time stops, your shopping list expands, and suddenly you need things you never knew existed. And honestly? I’m not mad about it.
The store is always well-organized, clean, and stocked with high-quality products at reasonable prices. Whether you’re looking for stylish home décor, trendy fashion finds, top-notch beauty products, or snacks you didn’t know you craved, Target has it all. And don’t even get me started on the Dollar Spot—it’s impossible to resist.
Customer service is another reason Target stands out. The employees are always friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. Plus, their drive-up service is a game changer for busy days when you just need a quick Target fix without getting out of the car.
And let’s not forget the true heart of Target—the Starbucks inside. Because what’s better than sipping a latte while casually browsing aisles you definitely didn’t plan on shopping in?
At the end of the day, Target isn’t just a store—it’s a lifestyle. And if loving Target is wrong, I don’t want...
