If I could rate zero stars, I would. We walked over to grab a bite to eat before seeing a movie, and grabbed a table on the patio. They have the outside menu where you press a button to order. We waited for over 30 minutes, requesting to order multiple times with the menu screen acknowledging our request to order, but we were flat out ignored the entire time. Meanwhile, they had no issues continuing to take orders for people in drive-thru. Employees were passing us repeatedly to run the drive-thru, so there's absolutely no argument that they did not know we were there.
Ended up leaving and going somewhere else because not a single employee even acknowledged our group, let alone to take our order.
Edit : Replies are flagged as the owner, but state they can escalate the feedback to the owner. So, which is it and who is actually reaponding? It seems rather obvious, with the trend of recent reviews, & the performance at the store that the franchise owner does not care. If the owner cared and was struggling with staffing, they could step in to help the store. If somebody truly cared about their investment, that's the ONLY logical choice. Instead, they'll run the store into the ground by letting it operate with unacceptable service levels until the employees finally get the backbone to walk out when they realize they deserve better. Read moreI wanted to let someone know of my experience today. I had just left Meijer's, grocery shopping, and went to go across the street to sonic. It is literally a 45 second drive. I opened my app when I got in the truck and had just finished my order when I pulled into the stall. There was maybe 4 or 5 cars in stalls when I was there. A few minutes later a lady came our with my food, Kristi on the receipt. She started to tell me that her GM had asked her to relay a message to me that I should not have pulled into the stall without completely being done with my order and that they have 2 minutes to take care of each person. Next time I should place my order further in advance and not pull in until I am done. To be honest it really aggravated me, although it was not her fault and she was trying to be nice about it. I just didn't understand what I was supposed to do. Just wait in the middle of the parking lot? I understand trying to make times but I personally felt it was very rude to be treated that way. I order here a lot and the food was great. However sometimes customer service goes a long way. The stalls were almost all empty and I was trying to get my order in quickly, while driving, and only coming from across the street. We were going to stop at another place to get the shakes but we figured Sonic would be a quick in and out. When we arrived at Sonic there was only 3 cars at the catnip spots and no cars in the drive thru. So we drive up to the drive thru and no one said a word to begin taking our order for at least 10 minutes? Then finally a young lady asked us for our order and never even apologized for the long wait time. During the process if taking our order we had to repeat the order of 2 shakes to her at least 3 times before she got it right? Wth? Then we pull around to the pick up area and wait another 15 minutes for our 2 shakes to arrive. The young man who brought the order out never apologized for the long wait either? The total was around $7 for the two items but by the time we received them the ice cream was like soup!! Very unhappy customer! Total waste of time and money! My husband and I used to frequent the Sonic in Frankfort. That place has it together, fast, friendly, great experience. I guess not all the Sonic restaurants are run the same way!
