Just left embarrassed and unhappy. It’s been a reoccurring issue I’ve noticed about freshness and quality of the food. Service is inconsistent, not sure if it’s due to lack of training or different training among the team but it shows. When it was my turn to order I asked for the 3 tacos, soft, flour tortillas. The girl working places 3 on the hot press and holds it till it smokes I didn’t say anything but was like they never have this down that long.. she grabs one off the press and goes to place it into the zigzag tray they use to build the tacos down the line. It literally snaps in half from being over done and she still grabs the other two to make them. I say never mind not wanting to be problematic but looked on my phone another location was 15 min away. So I ask her to please redo the tortillas so they’re soft. She annoyingly opens tortillas and presses them for about 5 seconds total. She asking I want rice or beans, I reply cilantro white rice and could you please stir it a bit cause it looks so dry, and she scoops out the brown rice. I simply repeated white rice please and she scoops out one spoon and divides it among the three tacos and slides down to the meats. I say “umm, more rice please..” confused as to how she can look at that minimal grains on each and think that’s okay. So next I ask for impossible meat and she does the same thing. Takes one scoop and divides among three then slides the tray down to veggies. I say I’ll pay for more if I need but I’d like more than a few crumbles on these tacos. Now the next girl working the line I tell her quest and shredded cheese that’s all. I go to pay as she does it and ask her for a chips and queso. The girl working the toppings portion of the line ask if I want a small, medium, or large. Confused cause I didn’t know they had different sizes of the chips and queso I said “for the chips and queso?” She replies, “small, medium, or large.” So I say the smallest size that comes with the chips and queso I guess. I pay and she starts filling a ramekin with queso. i then ask, “im sorry but that’s five dollars?” And she goes you said you wanted the small. so I respond I just want the smallest size chips in case so you guys have I didn’t know there was different sizes, the owner who is here sitting in a booth then says there is not different sizes she gets a large queso. After all of that mess, I walk outside and my car is parked right outside the door on the curb and I get in so I can eat before driving back to work. It’s been a full 30 seconds and the food was not even hot except for the queso, the rice literally was hard you could hear a crunch on your tooth, and I’m honestly just so disappointed I had to go through all that and I felt bad for having to say something at every station of the food line and then I paid $20 and couldn’t even eat the tacos due to the rice hurting...
Read moreWhether ordering in-store or online, the poor quality of food and palpable indifference of the staff are the consistent defining characteristics of this store. My most recent order treated me to a burrito filled with undercooked rice, an insultingly sparse smattering of my chosen toppings, and not a single morsel of my selected protein (which cost extra, I might add). And I had even left a 20% tip! I work in service & hospitality and I understand that every store and employee has off-days, but this particular location has never provided service that meets even my incredibly low expectations; it would be easier for me to cite the few experiences which have been acceptable and worth my money than to catalogue the growing number of poor experiences. The indifference and contempt towards customers—or perhaps work in general—the staff exhibits is unacceptable when I’m simply trying to enjoy a meal with my hard-earned money. Save your time and money and visit a location that cares to enforce baseline standards of service for their paying customers.
Edit: After reading other reviews for this location, I was disappointed to recognize my own grievances already vocalized dozens of times, only to be met with an automated response written in the robotic, corporate vernacular which promises only a cursory check-off of a district manager’s binder. It’s frustrating to reiterate these same issues, which stem from poor management, only to have them fall on deaf ears again and again. To the robot which will inevitably reply to this review: please value your customers more than this lukewarm response...
Read moreMy husband and I frequent Qdoba at least once a week, not this particular one. Sadly ours was closed due to remodeling (Dixie Hwy), so we took a ride to S 3rd. We were very disappointed...about half of the staff were unpleasant and unfriendly, especially the girl that was getting our toppings. Toppings... now that's another topic, we got there a few minutes before 8pm and I do not eat meat so I really love that Qdoba has the peppers...I however was saddened because I saw that the pepper container was empty. I asked the girl if they were making more and she shook her head no. No explanation, no I'm sorry, no offerings or suggestions of any other toppings, just a head shake. Then we get down the line and we ask for sour cream. We got another head shake. No sour cream?? My husband looks around and responds with a chuckle.." is this QDOBA? " He then asks if there is any in the back or any anywhere else, she does not reply at all, not even a head shake puts a lid on his container and moves onto the next customer. We get our favorite queso and chips as well... our chips are stale and have zero, zip, nodda of that lovely lime salt on them and they are stale. But the queso was good! Oh dont let me forget about my rice in my mini bowl.. it was crunchy rice.. must be a new thing. I will not be going back to this location. Dixie HWy please hurry up with...
