This has to be the worse Easter Lunch our family has ever experienced. We arrived at the restaurant at approximately 1230, while there was no wait we waited approximately another 10 minutes before being seated.
Picture it, Your family and you drove over 1300 miles from Maine to Loveland for Easter. We spent the morning with family and socializing, we made the decision to go eat at the local Applebee's in Loveland. Upon our arrival and to our surprise, there was no line to get in. We entered and stood at the entrance waiting for something to greet us. After approximately 3-4 minutes we was greeted by a young man, he stated that he would need to check with his server in the back for an open table. He walked off and we waited approximately another 7-10 minutes before his return. He grabbed a couple of menus and a couple for the children's menus and a few crayons. He walked us over to the 4th table from the door and seated us. While browsing the menu, our youngest snatched up the little tablet on the table. She dove in to a game and was off. After a few more minutes out waitress Toni B, came over and introduced herself. She took our drink orders along with the children's food order and our appetizer. She returned with 4 very large glasses of water. Another 4-5 minutes passed and she returned with the kids drinks, a smoothie and a milkshake in plastic cups with NO LIDS. Ok, my kids are 8 & 9, they will make a mess. I ask Toni for some napkins and she handed my these little square napkins that you put under your drink. She handed off some states and away she went. ( We have still not received our drinks, yet!) If I had to guess, another 10 minutes passed and here comes a gentleman with our drinks. Toni comes walking out with the kid's food, she replied " Didn't you order the spinach dip? Let me look and see if I put it in" She checks her little device and states, " I forgot to put it in, let me get that started for you" Keep in mind, they are not busy at all.
Finally Toni brings the spinach dip out to us and behind her was our food. Well, not how I intended to eat my appetizer WITH my food but, here we are. I ordered the 12oz cooked medium rare with the mashed potatoes and broccoli. The wife ordered the 8oz same way. I look down at my steak and was appalled. It was only about ā " thick and full of fat, while my wife's steak was immaculate. I take a bit of the broccoli and it was RAW. Her's the same way. We sit there looking at each other like is this really happening? I have had better steaks from Waffle House. Toni strolls over and asked Is everything ok? My reply was No Ma'am, and go in to explain my concern. She quickly apologized and vanished. And when I say vanished, she disappears faster than Houdini. The wife and I look at each other like, let's just go and we will grab something from McDonald's. We sit and wait and wait and wait. I finally grabbed the tablet and began to pay at the table. While navigating the payment process, Toni appears out of nowhere, and asks " Are you paying at the table?" I replied Yes Ma'am. And away she went. We never saw her again after that. We gathered our things and made our way to the nearest McDonald's.
I wait a couple of hours and decide to give the manager on duty a call to explain what had just transpired. I speak with Justin who identified himself as the manager. I begin to explain things and his replies were obviously scripted. He states that he wished he would have been made aware of this while we were still at the restaurant. I again replied that Toni kept disappearing. He states them that he will email me an Applebee's gift card, because we do not live in the area.
I don't want a gift card, I didn't pay with a gift card. I chose to take my family to Applebee's and use tangible money that can be used anywhere.
Maybe Justin's boss will see this and reach out.
I will never again visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called to place an order for curbside pickup, and that's how it all began. We ordered a cheeseburger and a large portion of mac and cheese. Get there and finally get our food, and pulled away. Wrong move by us because I would have found that they gave us a shot glass size container of mac and cheese. Drove the 10 min back to the store while our burger was getting cold. When I called the lady back on our way back, she said she would come out when I got there and I told her how long I'd be. Got there, waited 10 minutes, no one came out, so I went in. There excuse was that when we ordered on the phone we got the online lady and not someone from the store, so they messed it up. Then she said they mess orders up all the time, so i asked why they use them. Conclusion, i waited 5 more minutes manager still never came out, which is horrible customer service, then they waitress gave me my receipt and said we wouldn't get charged, which was very nice, i wouldn't be writing this if our last experience never happned.
She handed me a bag and said here's your full size mac and cheese. I grabbed it and left. Got home to feed our kids, opened the bag to find, spicy chicken tenders, penne noodles, and a soggy bread stick. My kids dont eat spicy food and they messed the order up again.
Everyone please check your orders, hopefully you can get to speak with a manager, and just know you might get something you never ordered.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS, MANAGERS ARE HORRIBLE, AND I WOULDNT GO TO EAT THERE AGAIN.
IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I DEFINITELY WOULD. I WORK IN THE HOME SERVICE INDUSTRY AND REVIEWS ARE WHAT RUNS THE INDUSTRY. 3.6 STARS IS TERRIBLE, I SHOULD...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1 star is not accurate, but 0 stars is not an option. I have been a customer for several years, and have been doing weekly curbside pickup since long before the pandemic. I gave delivery a try because the restaurant kept sending me emails offering free delivery this week. Well, I got what I paid for. I waited 45 minutes only to open my bag and find I had received the wrong order. I immediately tried to call the phone number as directed in the email, no answer and an unidentified outgoing message. I called the restaurant, sat on hold several minutes before being directed to enter my "access code" (??). Hung up, called again and after sitting on hold several minutes again I finally reached a person who was already aware of the mix up. I was told they would give me a gift card (gee thanks, I can hardly wait to come back?!). The only way for me to get what I actually ordered was to drive to the restaurant and pick it up myself because the restaurant doesn't have their own delivery people and they can't ask Door Dash to come back (even though they had already spoken to the driver and were aware of the mistake even before I was able to get ahold of anyone). Now I will have to wait for the gift card to arrive in a few days. And I was left with food I would never have ordered myself, and most ended up in my trash because it was not good (the person who ordered it may have enjoyed it, but it was not my taste at all). Did I mention i didn't eat lunch and was beyond hungry at 7pm? What a lousy experience. Thanks for...
