Price Gougers!! Buyer Beware! OK, so I am aware that each Ace Hardware Store is individually owned and operated and they can charge pretty much what the market will bare, but this is ridiculous. About 3 weeks ago, I needed to replace 7 Tiki torches on stakes that Ace has sold for years. These are the colored glass bottle style. I often shop at Orchards Ace and it is the closest to my home, so I decided to go there. I bought 7 torches, priced at $16.99 each. I thought that was a little pricey but needed them for an event.

Late last week, I happened to be in Greeley for dinner and needed a small tool, so I stopped at the Ace on 10th (Business 34). Imagine my shock and dismay when I saw the same torches priced at $9.99. I questioned the manager, who told me that $9.99 is the price they have been all summer long. I am very disgusted to say the least.

He gave me the mantra that each Ace is individually owned, blah, blah, blah.....

Now I wonder just how often I have been shafted on price when I have shopped at the...

We went there to buy a car fob battery, and of course bought a few other over priced items. I had not even gotten in the car when an employee comes out holding a receipt, and says accusingly, "Did you pay for that battery?". I replied "yes.". He said "I have your receipt and it's not on it.". I told him i placed it on the cashier's table so it should be on there. He asked if we had a copy of our receipt. My wife said yes and said the battery was indeed on the receipt, He found it on his. I asked him to apologize for accusing me of stealing, he said He was just making sure, I told him he should have seen me pay since he followed me. I deserved an apology, he said he had nothing to Apologize for, I said for accusing me of stealing (they followed no one else), he abruptly said sorry, and left. I went in and spoke to Craig the manager, and he gave me a generic "i will talk to him".... Don't shop there, they may chase you down...
