I ordered pickup, at dinner. So no review of the restaurant itself, it seemed clean, in the short time I was there.
Ordered Greek salad ~9-10$ and reg classic turkey (no salami) sandwich. There is nothing particularly unique on the ingredients list (although you can add many veggies, meats, cheeses). I added bell peppers and pickles, standard sandwich add-ons.
The salad and sandwich were larger than I expected, which is a good thing as the price is less than similarly sized meals. The salad was fresh, crispy, and clean romaine, I would prefer a few more banana peppers but, decent overall
The classic turkey sandwich, wow! I did not expect the subtle and solid savory flavor, veggie crunch, and crisp fresh bread. This was a total surprise, this might be one of the best turkey sandwiches I've eaten in the Loveland / Fort Collins area.
Highly recommend, I will visit again.
UPDATE: After about 5-7 orders the restaurant rating was updated. In all of the orders it has been the same products yet, each time they have differed in one way or another. The most annoying of which is due to a lack of repeatability and missing ingredients that were paid for in addition to the standard recipe. Missing ingredients seem to continually occur so, you pay extra for nothing. Due to a lack of repeatability, the salad size is small for the cost (~10$), a bigger and better salad (with all the ingredients you pay for) is available at most grocery store deli counters.
To amend the original review the turkey sandwich is good but, if you pay for ingredients that are left out, what is the point?
Update 5/4/24, after five visits in a row with diminished quality I thought to update my review. I love the thought of having a great sandwich and salad from a reliable local business. This is not that, they always fail at some portion of the process.
Your food will be forgotten and sit on a counter until you become tired of waiting for 30 minutes or more. I've tried adding larger and larger tips with the service becoming worse the more I tipped, there is no connection at all, customers are cash cows and what the customer asks and pays for means nothing.
There is no consideration for process control or quality checking each purchase. Buying a soggy sandwich that sat on a counter for 30 minutes while I sat staring at the togo shelf, as I was directed to do when I walked in to the restaurant 30 minutes prior and asked.
I cannot recommend this restaurant for any reason, the quality of the food is C+ at best (no continuity), the service is terrible and the folks working the front always seem confused and surprised. The parking is absurd, the cost is right at the "premium" tier for lunch, avoid this letdown and go to a grocery store deli counter where process controls are a thing, instead of chaos as daddy...
Read moreFirst time visiting! Saw this location pop up while looking for local soup places. Came to get some sandwiches and try the soup!
The location is bright and easy to see from US34, on the south side. It was snowing/sleeting so to have such a clear view despite the weather was reassuring we had found the right place!
Tried both the Wisconsin Cheese and Chicken and Dumpling Soups of the day. The Cheese was the absolute winner! It is a full bodied flavor with ingredients that could easily overpower it but instead help to carry it from start to finish. It also has a beautiful smokiness as an aftertaste and the green peppers really sealed the deal for me. The Chicken and Dumpling was really good too, however! Big Dumpling pieces, tasted and looked homemade, very good when you need a warm pick me up. The bread bowl is well priced and actually fills the bowl, unlike Panera, and you get the bread pieces that they carve out for the soup included!
The sandwiches were also delightful. Customized and with 4 bread options; sourdough, wheat, dark rye and jalapeño cheddar; comes with a long pickle slice and the meats were all shaved, including the chicken!
The bread was beautiful and delicious and we will absolutely be back for sure. Thanks for sharing your tasty...
Read moreFood is fresh and feels like Mom made it. The place is clean and warm and inviting. Always spacious seating and a place to work/study with free wifi. I wish they had their liquor license and some TV's to chill to for a morning Bloody Mary or a afternoon beer and a pizza on a long weekend. Breakfasts are huge and greatly appreciated as a morning pit stop for us West 'Lovelanders'. I wish the morning hours started at 6 ot even 7 though for breakfast...yet the staff arriving 2 hours before will add a needle to my voodoo doll for the idea. I drive into Breakfast Club at times because I'm such a morning bird. The biscuits and gravy is the best around bar none. Breakfast sandwiches are worth their weight in gold as well. The sandwiches are always awesome. Variety here is huge. I pray for a milk shake machine or a ice cream machine to arrive every time I come in ha ha. The only place I can compare it to is Panera Bread or Avagadro's Number in Fort Collins...like I said we are lucky to have Daddy O's in West Loveland where we don't have to drive a hour round trip from a quick healthy meal or fight all the new comers traffic. Long story short Daddy O's is hard to beat for the quality of Kaila's awesome service and the money spent for the quantity and quality...
