I'm giving one star for the way these ppl made me feel each time I went here TO SUPPORT their afro-Latino business BECAUSE I DONT SPEAK SPANISH! The food is good but when I tell you that the ladies cooking and the man at the cash register DID NOT speak to me in the same kind manners as they spoke to Spanish speaking ppl! I'm telling you the honest to God truth! They would give smaller portions of rice and tostones than I see them giving others. I would say thank you and please and never in return get YOU'RE WELCOME! The man at the cash register once told me my bill was $15 for chicken, rice and a tres leche cake. I gave $15, asked for a receipt. He looked at me like "how dare you want a receipt." He gave the receipt, I walked out, looked at the receipt that said $14.50. He didnt give my change so I went back inside and told him, he owes me $.50 and this man looked at me like I was crazy for not wanting to be ripped off. Like, the nerve of me for wanting my change back! Last time I went was the last straw! I ordered chicken and tostones. Three Spanish speaking ppl were served and out of there before my plate was made! I got back to my place to see six (6) pieces of tostones!!! Ok. So if that's how you treat ppl for not speaking Spanish, I'll take my money somewhere else! Maybe put a flashing sign outside that says "this place is only for Spanish speaking ppl! All others will be disrespected." DONT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T...

These friendly folks know how to cook you a plate. Last night's Top 10 good for pieces of chicken one was a press when was the thigh and a couple of drumsticks plus a pile of french fries on top of it the plate had to weigh 2 pounds worth of food absolutely perfectly cooked yummy as hell for only $6 you cannot beat that with a stick anywhere in the city as far as I know unless you go to another mom-and-pop convenience store that's also Spanish for Dominican selling these plates of food. Now that I live on the Block I'm going to be here at least three times a week for dinner or lunch that's a guarantee this is a place that I can actually afford to eat at it and let me tell you the food their food is no joke you got a plate of that right and you sit down to your friends and you start eating and they're all going to start sticking their hands in your plate you can have to fight them off to get the hell away from...

Guys forget about any fried chicken you have eaten because when you eat there fried chicken.... it will become an addiction promise. Never frozen marinated over nite in special spices and fried almost every hour. Each piece is literally $1.25, so a whole breast is 1.25! Guys the chicken kills kfc and popeyes alll day. And thats just the start, the rice and beans is awesome and love there meat pockets. There 4 different to pick from and there all a buck.
