I stopped in and the restaurant was not very busy. Once I was seated I watched staff walk past me over and over again. Someone was cleaning the table, wiping ketchup bottles but no one came to take my order. 7 minutes after I was seated I watched a waiter seat a caucasian family. This waiter immediately brought cups and a pitcher of water for this family & I stopped her and said “ I’ve been waiting here for 7 minutes & Ive been ready to order, is there a reason that I haven’t been helped yet”. At this point all I had was a menu from the hostess.
The waiter said this is your waiter and pointed to a young man who was behind her as she was delivering a fresh pitcher of water to the new guests.
The waiter apologized and asked my order. I ordered the avocado toast and the purple haze drink. I also ordered 2 kids chocolate chip pancake meals to go.
I was asked how I would like my eggs with the avocado toast and I asked for them to be scrambled.
When I received my order the eggs were over easy & because I already had to what felt to me like demand service, I felt a bit discriminated against and I didn’t want to wait any longer or have anymore friction I just sat and proceeded to enjoy my meal.
Well once I started eating i dipped my toast in the eggs over easy and some of the egg yolk dropped on my pants. Once I opened my napkin to clean up the mess there was a gray substance inside of the rolled up napkin. It looked like the insides of a carpet vacuum.
The gray powdery substance got on my clothes, the table and my food.
I was completely in shock and I immediately mentioned what happened to a waitress walking by. She just asked me if I’d like another napkin and stated that she would inform my waiter.
Once my waiter arrived I shared with him what happened and also let him know that my food got contaminated with the unknown gray powdery substance.
He took my plate to be remade and I asked if it could be made to go because of the experience that I was having.
The waiter brought my to go bag and once he gave me the check/receipt he also gave me a small card for $2 off my next meal.
In my opinion that meal should have been comped for the inconvenience caused especially with this still unknown substance contamination.
I really didn’t want to write this review because I honestly don’t have many poor experiences but I also didn’t want my experience to be swept under a rug.
I I planned on writing a five star review for this place. My children’ enjoyed their kids meals at home & my beverage was actually delicious & so was the avocado toast
My reasoning for this poor review is I did not feel valued, my waiter was not very accommodating, I was made to feel uncomfortable with no resolution and this experience is one that I’ll never forget. I don’t feel that I was compensated correctly for the inconvenience. I felt that if I was being offered any money off of an order it should of happened at the time of the inconvenience not for my next purchase. Read moreI’m happy to have a restaurant with this type of food open in the area, but this location needs some more training for the staff. We’ve gone 3 times now and had to grab someone walking by to seat us every time. Apparently, the cashier, who had a line of people waiting to pay was also the hostess for seating. On our last visit, after waiting 5 minutes, my husband went over to one of 2 servers that were standing in the back looking at us and ask to be seated. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve had to ask for water, even though there are water glasses on every table. On this visit, I asked twice and never got it. The food did come out quickly. It was hot & delicious but they forgot my toast. The waitress hadnt come back in some time so my husband went over to one of the staff that was cleaning nearby and asked for the toast. Our waitress finally came back when we were almost finished our meal. When we finished our meal, we went up to the register to pay. By this time it was maybe an hour before closing and business was slowing down. There was no one else in line to pay. There were 5 servers at the register. They were cashing out their checks and getting the days tips. We stood there for close to 5 minutes before they even acknowledged us. Then one looked at us and said-hang on-we’ll be right with you. After almost 5 more minutes watching everyone settle up, a woman finally grabbed the check from my hand and gave if to the guy on the register. He ran my card, stapled the receipts and added them to his pile. I had to ask him if he wanted me to sign the slip and could I have my card back. That finally got his attention and he apologized. You have a lot of potential in this place, kudos to the cooks, but you might want to fire your entire wait staff and start over with some serious training.

Food: waffles were very salty, the blueberry sauce was old, and tasted bad. So for waffles I will definitely not recommend this place. Salmon veggie frittata with side of potatoes: Potatoes were salty, it had taste of bacon in it. The food was below standard and felt like there is definitely cross contamination at all levels and it’s not clean.
The utensils were not clean. The server was very rude. He had forgotten to bring one of our orders to the table and when we received the bill the item was in it, so we highlighted that to him and he basically said we are lying and he got it to the table. So we showed him the table and when he found that it was not served and he had forgotten it, instead of apologizing he got frustrated and stormed to the billing counter and removed it from bill and asked us to pay the amount without handing over the new bill. He gave us the new bill only after the payment was processed and he got his tip. During the this time he was just badgering us to pay through the card quickly.
The most rude person we have met in restaurants so far. We highlighted it to the manager and the response was we will give u a coupon for next visit! Why would one go to such place again. !!
After all this we reached home and we had a bad stomach ache and felt disgusting. So, the cross contamination and bad quality of food is very evident. Most likely the griddle used is not clean and all kinds of meat are cooked on it and the salt will definitely make you dehydrated if you’re not used to such high quantity of sodium in food!!!
