Manhattan Bagel — Restaurant in Lower Southampton Township

I have been buying bagels at this location for over 2 years and can tell you their service is mediocre at best. They have 2 people performing everything from taking order to cooking, and checkout. If you're caught in a line full of people, the wait can be more than 20 min.

The bagel is great if you purchase a single bagel. If you buy a dozen, they will throw in some that are disproportion to size, sometime 1/3 the size of the original. I swear they do this on purpose because it happens every time.

Made a purchase this morning and the gal ring me up on their new register. The display show $9.00, tried to scan my gift card and she tells me there's no balance on it. I proceeded to tell her that it's a $100 GC. She switch over to the old register and it works. Except the receipt now show $11 and change. I confronted her about the difference and she tells me that there's nothing she can do because the old register rings up at a different price. WTF! This doesn't even make sense. I will be reporting this to the BBB.

Make sure you are paying the correct amount. Check your receipt!!!!

As for me, I'll either use up my GC or sell it and will look elsewhere to buy my bagels. It's a shame, they make decent bagels but I cant continue to support a business...

This place is simply amazing. I’ve been coming here regularly, and somehow I just realized I never left a review -- time to fix that! 😉

Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and kind. It honestly adds so much to the experience when people remember you and greet you like an old friend. That kind of warmth and personal touch means a lot to me.

The food? Always fresh, always delicious. My family has tried a variety of items on their menu, and most of the time, our expectations are fully met. Our all-time favorite is the Nova Lox bagel -- thanks to them, we discovered the magic of salmon, red onion, and capers. We love it so much we even recreate it at home when we’re too busy to stop by.

I also highly recommend ordering through their website -- it’s super convenient. Your order is usually ready in about 10 minutes, and they’ve never let us down.

The place is always clean and well cared for, including the bathroom: every time I’ve used it, it’s been tidy and maintained. It’s also nice to see that they clearly care about the community and respect those who serve.

All in all, this is one of those local gems where you feel good walking in -- and even better walking out with...

We ordered a sausage croissant, hash browns and a bagel and honestly I was let down, the crossaints from burger king are slightly better and less greasy, the hash browns taste like hash browns from anywhere else and the bagel was equal to something I can just get from a local grocery store.
