The Catch was great! Be prepared to wait.... (⚠️WARNING⚠️ maybe even outside regardless of weather!! So dress appropriately!) This is a casual restaurant with dine-in, carry out, and drive-thru.
1st impression: housekeeping could be better. They are extremely busy and seem to do their best to bus tables as they go. I didnt see any sanitizing spray being used (per usual covid-conscious establishments) but they were coming around with a wet rag. The floors could be a slip/trip hazard as the patrons were quite messy. Some food spills, straws, what-have-you strewn about but it was a packed house, so forgivable. For those worried about covid precautions, I'd take my food to-go. They are distancing by closing neigbboring tables, but its still pretty cozy. Masks are required!! One gentlemen was hard at work running the dining room alone so kudos to this boot-wearing, one man army!! 👏 great service!!
Food was great!! Definitely hot and fresh. Did not have to wait long at all. The portions are plentiful and in all honesty makes up for the price. We paid about $40 for 2 people. He got a combo and I, a basket. $4.99 was kinda steep for a small cup of banana pudding in my opinion. (Jury's still out on that one bc I got full 🤭) it came highly recommended! I would love to eat here again!
S/N for the health conscious: They also have salads, chicken and kids...
Read moreWent here for the first time today and sat inside. The staff was friendly. I got the big easy with zucchini and beignets. The give you just enough to not still be hungry but you won’t be stuffed. The food was really good. The beignets were tough and overcooked. But my main concern was the cleanliness. The dining room is in desperate need of a deep clean and maybe a different set up for sanitary reasons. It wasn’t filthy but just looks like it’s never properly cleaned. Lots of crumbs and food dust everywhere. And when I went there was nobody there but me, There are community seasoning containers vinegar and hot sauce bottles salt and pepper shakers and they’re gross. Like people eating with dirty hands use them and then they’re not properly cleaned. They use house hold paper towel rolls and the holders are dirty. The community lemons are in an open container on the counter. All I could think about is spit skin flakes and dust. The forks and spoons are all open together in open holes in the counter but thankfully they also have plastic cutlery sets. The women’s bathroom wasn’t filthy but it needed to be cleaned. The place gave me the heebie jeebies honestly. While I can be anal, I still think it should be addressed. The kitchen looked clean the workers were changing gloves often and the food was good so next time I’ll go through the...
Read moreWent with a friend. Had never been, but friend said gator pieces were a lot smaller. Good service, good food for first time
Update couple years later!! The food is good, good service (Aris, I believe was our OTs name), BUT! We went just for the crab special. That's the sole reason we came here. And there were no crackers for the crab legs. We asked and were told there were none AFTER we had gotten our food. We were told that people had been throwing them away. I understand that, having worked at restaurants before, it's not your employees fault, but we wouldn't have ordered crab or possibly even come here if we knew there were no crackers.
HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO EAT CRAB WITH NO CRACKERS?!
Had we been told this before we'd had ordered, it wouldn't be 2/5 stars. But having no crackers with a special on crab is like having spaghetti with no fork. Until my next visit, this is my standing.
Good food, good service, good times on getting food out, and good crew. But no crackers for crab brings this rating from a 4/5, to a 2.
Either warn people before ordering crab, have employees collect trash for customers, or leave notes around the trashes that crackers are not to be thrown away. Unless you want your employees to dig in the trash. Either way,...
