Food King — Local services in Lubbock

First of all, I love food King good prices good people some good employees but today shopping experience was a little sad. I did my shopping. I don’t mind doing it by myself. That doesn’t hurt me. I had a basket full of items and I I asked to use one of the bigger checkouts for this no ma’am we are closed understanding there’s two people standing there doing absolutely nothing and the only things are open or self check up. They said they were closed. That’s understandable so I started scanning my items on the self check out. I turned around and two people were checking out on the bigger checker isles, Which I was confused because I thought they said they were closed and in my it came to my understanding that they just didn’t want to check out my items. It seems like I had more more in the basket and the ones that They were checking out in the bigger. Isles only had three items I had more than that, and they still told me it was closed. It felt They did not want to check me out and it looked lazy...

Was not impressed. Was charged 49 dollars when amount should have been 19. Asked the cashier to explain and she basically said to go to customer service. This is before I even paid. I should have cancelled the transaction and gone to another checkout lane.

Went to customer service and he could really care less. Boxing up cigarettes was way more important. I had to make him refund me the money and then do it again. He wanted to "fix" the problem but it would have been a headache for my expense report. I was buying items from the Ace hardware for work and was expensing them. The guy literally never looked at me. If I lived here I would never go back to the Food King.

The Ace people were super helpful and friendly. Literally night and day difference between the two. Ace, break away from the food store and bet you get alot...

The store is great, a lot of choice and cheaper then entry other store in Lubbock, only thing I didn't like some employees are rude like crap and lazy, I was paying my stuff on register and there was 80 year old grama that came and ask the guy on register where can she find the tee, and he told here ile 8 and old grams slowly going away leaning on her basket so she can walk and that guy remembers o maybe was on ile 9 , o well if she can find it she can look for somebody there and ask where it is, and him and the girl that was packing bags they acted like they don't care, I just think to sad nobody needs employees like that, I was just feeling sorry for old grama some of those jung people don't give a crap about elderly today...
