Torchy's Tacos — Restaurant in Lubbock

First off I'm a fan of Torchy's Tacos, just not this location. The location near Tech does a great job even jammed packed. I frequently visit both locations. Today’s reoccurring issue was the last time. I arrived just before the lunch rush. I order two Green Chili Pork Tacos. I was accompanied with two guests that ordered separately after me from a different cashier. Both of my guest’s orders were delivered within 10 minutes. I waited and waited. Nothing arrived. I asked the lady delivering food. Was told “I’m the only one here not sure where your food is.” By this time my guests were finished eating and wondering with me. I ask again and was told, ran out of flower tortillas we’re making more. As I was told this blatant lie, more food was being delivered to people that arrived more than thirty minutes after I ordered. I patiently waited another 10 minuets knowing eating there wasn’t an option, but maybe I’ll get my order to go. And eat at my desk. Nope, nothing arrived. This issue has happened to me personally over five times in less than two months. Every time, I’m given a five-dollar off Torchy’s voucher. It’s a nice gesture, but not cutting it anymore. I had to ask to see a Manager to get a refund. No one cared enough to vist our table and...

We walked in about 6pm and were out at 6:20, and it was much calmer than we expected, as they are normally quite busy but the football game lowered activity. They had nobody running a register, however, or even visibly working when we walked in, and so ordering and payment was only done via a kiosk, which hilariously asks for a tip before service.

The food was quite good; the whole party got tacos, and two of us had fulfilled orders while the third did not receive the requested salsa on his, and the green chili was not hot at all, which was disappointing. Still, flavorful and well-filled tacos.

The service was minimal, the only service we ran into is when they bring out the food from the kitchen. It came out rather speedily, somewhat due to the lack of activity inside from the normal. The server seemed rushed and thoughtless about the task, and our queso was brought out lukewarm after the tacos, instead of hot beforehand.

The atmosphere is rough, but mostly because of the design of their restaurant that they brand off of. This is not quite a thing other than that, it just feels awkward for us personally. Apart from that, it was fairly clean and uses a versatile...
