Excellent from beginning to end. This was my second time there first time able to order from the lunch special menu and got the single Chimichanga (steak) fried and it came with Rice, Beans, and a small amount of lettuce on the side. Food was delicious seasoned well and fresh. The beans were not just slop they were whole pinto beans that had been cared for. Rice was Mexican rice without weird vegetables inside no peas or corn which is a plus. Now to the main attraction the Chimi! it was loaded with steak not some wimpy thing that left me wanting more just because it was delicious not because there wasn't enough for my money; we will get to that in a moment lets let me sing the praises of the Chimi. So it was fried but not overly fried and not not to where it was saturated in oil either so it allowed all that meaty flavor to hit my taste buds, it was so flavorful, Chuy knows his way around that little food trailer no doubt. The sauce provided was very good not too hot not over powering and a good compliment to the flavors of the dish.
Now to the price was it cheap, I hate that word cause it wasn't cheap, cheap would imply inferior food for a discounted price. No, this was AFFORDABLE! Way less than visiting the King, Clown, Bell, or the other fast food burger joint in town and this food isn't close to the same level as those places. Yes if you get the Dinner menu prices are higher but the portions are bigger, first time I went I got the dinner Chimis, yes Chimis, you get two and more rice and beans it was more expensive but worth it if you have the appetite.
Service was awesome Chuy is super friendly and his work space is clean and hygienic. His seating area is tidy and currently is covered which is nice to stand under while waiting for food.
I have no complaints and look forward to my next journey to Chuy's whether it be for a lunch item or something a little more substantial.
No I didn't take pictures it smelled too good to waste time...
Read moreYes this is a tiny food trailer BUT it is packing a giant Mexican restaurant menu, taste and family feel. Family owned and operated and they do it right. All of the items are prepared fresh. Ingredients are fresh. Sauces, seasonings and such are prepared fresh, NO HOLDS OVERS. What If you don’t see it on the menu? ASK, ASK, ASK anything special. If you like it SPICE or not like me just ask. The only people working this business are the family and they are lovely. These folks are amazing cooks not to mention even more amazing family. Basically in a nut shell this is just an all around amazing crew, from the food to the family give some love in the Arellano...
Read moreThis place was a fabulous find— stop here for a meal if you’re in the Luray area! The family who runs it was so kind, and even gave us a second order of chips on the house. Their lunch specials are an amazing deal for fresh and flavorful food ($9 specials!) The steak quesadilla, grilled chicken salad, veggie tacos and chicken tacos were enjoyed by all, along with the rice, beans, and chips with the most delicious white sauce. They also had some nice kid meals. Loved this place! The atmosphere is fun with clean outdoor tables to watch the hustle and bustle of Main Street Luray. Perfect place for a laid back, welcoming environment, tasty and...
