I have to say I must write this review with some kind of remorse. Buffalo Wild Wings has been one of my favorite place to go for a long time. But I must say now, I wonāt take my family back there for a really long time. I will still meet friends to hang out, but going for a meal isnāt an option at this point. Over the years I have defended this place from negative comments but have slowly seen this place go downhill. The building is run down, probably because of the popularity it saw. The bathroom always have one toilet broke and is always dirty, even at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. This leads me to my last visit.
This past Sunday I stopped in BWWs with my family after a BDay party. I knew it was going to be bad because no one greeted us for probably 8 mins. People just walked past. When the waiter showed up he told us he had just started his shift and had 6 tables. Which we understood and even said āAtleast he is honest about itā. After about waiting another 10 mins for him to come back we ordered food. After waiting another 25-30 mins our food actually showed up. I can say my wings were āOKā. Very very dry, they really had no sauce on them, but still eatable. The kids food came out with the wrong sides, but nothing major. Fries instead of wedges. But then my wifeās food was horrible. She got naked tenders and a salad. We all know BWWs isnāt a place to go for a salad but this was just bad and poorly made. The naked tenders were like rubber and had this slime on them. The kids keep saying it was fish because that what it reminded us of. So we ended up sending that back and getting a refund.
Here's the kicker. They said they could get us more naked tenders because āIt would only take 5 mins to makeā. But the waiter told us the reason for our food taking so long was because he was waiting on her naked tenders to come out. Really? The same ones that only would take 5mins to remake? And this was not the first time this whole situation has happened. I will say the past 5 times I have been there they were extremely slow and got really bad service/food. First I thought it was because we had 8 people in our party. But after coming back for the past 6 months with my family weāve had repeat bad service, slow waiters, and poor food quality. It sad to me because this has been one of my favorite places to go since it opened in Lynchburg. Iām not saying I wonāt ever go back, but itās going to be a really long time before I do or some kind of special get together. My hope if writing this review is that someone from management reads it and corrects the issues. I kind of doubt it will but Iām...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReview I've waited three years and at least a dozen experiences to write this review. I don't think one bad experience legitimizes a bad review. But a dozen or so certainly should. Given the small size of our town and the high turnover rate from semester to semester, I had hoped that things would improve at this bdubs. Every experience, including takeout, has been nothing more than an exchange of food and money. The staff here are the rudest restaurant staff I've ever encountered. They acknowledge you when they are ready to, after they've obviously seen you and you've been waiting sometimes up to 15 minutes, and it's never with a smile, a "hello", or a "welcome", but instead always with a "how many?/name?" and "what do you want/ oh great, another customer" attitude. The most recent trip, we heard multiple servers complain about their tables, profanity included, and those same servers standing around talking while 12 tables around us remained dirty and un-bussed, with trash throughout the dining area floor. To top it off, the restroom was disgusting, as it always is. While most of our trips have had something go wrong that were easy to remedy, the one thing that's remained consistent is the horrible service. This location doesn't seem to know what customer service entails, that it's okay to work hard, keep your restaurant clean, and make your guests feel like their money is being well spent. I get that it's a casual dining sports bar, but that doesn't mean professionalism and decency go out the window. The staff is a direct reflection of its leadership. For the love of Lynchburg, and maybe even your company in general, PLEASE get some professional customer service trainers to teach and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited several months ago and had a horrible experience. Service was extremely slow and there was maybe 40% of the tables full. It took forever to get our food but that wasnāt the worst of it. After we finished eating it was 20 minutes before waitress came back to get our payment, then something happened with the payment system and we ended up waiting OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF before we could pay and leave. I couldnāt believe there was no compensation for being held hostage that long waiting to leave. We were in the restaurant for almost 3 hours. Unacceptable. Fast forward a few months I decided to give them another chance. I ordered carry out last night. I was told food would be ready in 20 minutes. I did not get my food until 40 minutes. Plus they forgot my side so I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for them to make that too. By the time I got my side the wings were room temperature. Every time I go in there it seems like the waitstaff is just standing around talking and not caring for the customers while the one person is working their tail off doing everything. I will never return to this...
