WARNING FOR ALL BRIDES ORDERING A WEDDING CAKE... our cake was held hostage due to a miscommunication.
Long story short, we ordered a cake for a wedding and the invoice was sent the DAY BEFORE the wedding day. The bride was very focused that day and did not have time to check her email for an invoice since that was her rehearsal day and dinner. On the wedding day, we were expecting the cake to arrive early in the day, but it did not arrive until after the ceremony started (just past 10 o'clock, forcing her wedding coordinator and friend to miss part of the event due to poor customer service). The bride happened to check her emails while getting ready in the morning, and paid the invoice at 7:56 am. However, when we were at the venue, the cake did not arrive when it was supposed to. The bridesmaids, coordinator, and bride were all calling and texting to see where the cake was and the owner did not pick up, causing unnecessary stress on the bride. The cake did eventually arrive at the venue past 10:00, where she stated that she was waiting for the invoice to be paid (which it did at 7:56 am). We do understand that the owner did not want to risk not getting paid, however, the polite thing to do would be to answer your phone to figure out the situation or to come to the venue since it was not far away at all, and figure it out in person. Even if the invoice still hadn't been paid (because the bride is already overwhelmed with other circumstances), someone would have paid her for her services. Additionally, the owner had the bride remind her the day before to bring the cake to the venue the next day.
Overall, the cake was beautiful and tasted great. However, the customer service we received was very poor and unprofessional.
Suggestions for future service, send an invoice at least a few days before the wedding, answer phone calls so we can figure the situation out, and maybe realize that the bride does not want to steal your cake and could be preoccupied with other...

Read moreI recently ordered several things for my birthday and everything was amazing! The cake was so good with so many layers and the amazing thing was that the cake held together perfectly for the drive home (almost 30 mins) and yet the entire thing was so moist and delicious ( think its magic) also ordered several types of cookies even some odd ones like a carrot cake cookie and every type i had was such a good balance of flavor tasting a big difference between every type. Also the cookies are not small! Okay now the cupcakes, the best thing i can say is wow! such good frosting and the blueberry flavor with so much blueberry inside was just awesome! just like the cake it was so moist and tasty like an explosion of flavor in my mouth! Now the last thing we got was the cinnamon rolls. Now when i thought of a cinnamon roll i did not thing of something that would fill a 12 inch plate end to end, these things are big! I have to say they are very good! there is no hard part of the cinnamon roll in the way you think the outside is hard and the inside is soft, no every part of these are soft and filled with flavor, there was never a point in that giant that i was eating just the bread every part was soft and every bit had cinnamon and the wonderful sugary sauce. This is the place to go for treats!! i mean this is the best! we are so blessed to have Mrs. Joy's in our little town so please give this place a try!...
