Countryside Deli — Restaurant in Lynnfield

Consistently just ok. They either need to change their fry oil or upgrade to a better frialator. The consistency of how things are cooked are extremely hit or miss. Sometimes the chicken and fries or onion rings are perfect and sometimes they have the consistency that they've been fried in a jam packed frialator. Another gripe, is that they talk up their chicken fingers and fries but the chicken is rife with veins that make 50% of the piece inedible. Great that they are hand made but with that much vein and fat still attached it's ruined. Pair that with a shifty frialator, and you get a pretty disappointing meal. I have had their pizza and other subs too, but those are a hard pass for me. The subs are barely filled and the Pizza is just shy of elios. The menu here is HUGE!! I got the Reuben sandwich, which was quite good, and I would most certainly get one again. There is such a wide selection, though; there are lots of interesting things to try. It is a great place to bring a large group of picky eaters. It is also a more affordable option compared to the wider area. There is a mall with fancy pants fare that I am not a big fan of. I think the food here is every bit as good without paying for the ambiance.

Even up in Canada I had heard about your chicken cutlet sandwich, and when visiting from Montreal I knew I had to put it to the test! Montreal has a large Italian population with 280,000 people, so the amount of delectable Italian delights we have on the island are plentiful! So, I had your sandwich on a braided roll which was a first for me... and it was delicious! Where the Countryside Deli takes first prize, is in the chicken cutlet itself! It was the most tender, juiciest chicken cutlet I have ever had, hands down! I will definitely be coming back for more! Merci...
