Leo's Coney Island — Restaurant in Lyon Charter Township

Called in a little bit ago and placed a carry out. I ordered a grilled Rueben meal...a small TOSSED salad a bowl of chicken lemon rice soup and a small ice cream. The sandwich was soggy and falling apart (yes I was prompt on pick-up) there was no thousand island dressing with it as it indicates that it comes with on the side. The fries where hard as a rock...cant eat them. Now my salad on the other hand for my daughter who does have food allergies was given a Cobb Salad. Mind you my daughter is allergic to eggs and avocado. (Keep that in mind it gets better) I called in to make a simple compliant and I expressed to the person that answered the phone my concerns. I only mentioned my concerns regarding the salad (Allergies) due to now my daughter has no lunch (I'm at work with a 30 min lunch break) She said if you knew your daughter has allergies why would you order that for her? I'm like excuse me. I asked for a TOSSED SALAD maybe pay attention while you are on the phone considering this isn't the first time this has happened. She was not offering to fix anything, refund anything and just sat on the phone quiet. I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up on me. I am hoping this review the owner or manager who over looks this will reach out. Because you don't do this to people and expect them to give ya'll a benefit of a doubt for a third mess up.

Be mindful...my entire office eats there at least 2-4 times a week. Not anymore. Because the way the staff treated me on the phone and the lack of empathy from this place is ridiculous.

Do better Leo's...

To be clear; this review is only for the New Hudson location. My wife and I will usually go to any Leo's when we want to be assured of a good meal and do not want to be disappointed by food quality or service that could come along with trying a new place. However, today was not the dining experience that we had hoped for. I ordered, fish and fries. I like my fries crispy and always make it a point to say it more than once to the server. My wife ordered a Reuben. Our food arrived. The fries were not crispy and the corned beef was very tough. I asked our server if she could have them made crispier. She told me that she would have the chef make a fresh order. She immediately came back and told me the chef was not taking it welk and wanted mynoriginal feies back first. Not a problem. However, he could be heard complaining about it. My wife was going to get something different to replace the Reuben. However, the cook could be heard making comments about the situation. We decided that we would not replace her meal. Finally, our server was great. We tipped her on what the invoice would have been. The cook should get some additional training on customer service and attitude. As of this time, we have decided that we past no less than 10 other restaurants to go to Leo's. We are going to try them out now. There are too many dinning choices available to have the experience ruined by a person that does not appreciate our choice to...

The food and service was good but the restaurant was poorly managed during my visit which made me not want to return. 40 minutes before the restaurant was closing, a worker started mopping the floors right next to my table while I was still eating. It was difficult to enjoy my meal while smelling mop water. Additionally, after finishing my meal I had to be super cautious to make my way to the restroom so I wouldn't fall. The floors still had a ton of water on them and were slippery. When I went to pay my bill I asked for the manager. She was maybe 19 or 20 years old. I asked her why this kid was mopping floors right next to people who were still eating. She said "oh, he just mops floors". I said it really kind of ruined my meal, having to smell that when I was trying to eat. She said "oh sorry about that" and didn't even look at me. And that was it. I don't think she cared. I don't think she even gave a second thought to the danger it posed to people falling. Mopping the dining room floors should happen after closing time. Their bigger concern seemed to be to get out as quickly after closing time as possible. I would recommend this restsurant only because the food and service was good but I wouldn't go any time within an hour of closing time. And I won't go back after...
