Ready for some laughs? Alrighty, got a few things wrong from our order which we weren't mad about... but here it is. They forgot they had greated us already and regreated/took our orders again. 🤣 We got the wrong appetizer, and they assumed we wanted certain things with the other app because they forgot to ask the questions at the table (probably assuming white people=not spicy and flour tortillas). 🤣 When we got our meals, they didn't come back until the plates were taken away and a very sweet other server got us the dessert menu. They came back, realized we had eaten and we asked for the flan and elephant ears. They drenched each with chocolate... which I may be annoying when I say this... but, I hate chocolate,😅. It didnt say anything about chocolate on the menu so I didn't feel the need to mention no chocolate...so that was fun for me 🤣 Then I'm not kidding, 35 minutes go buy, we were literally trapped there. No server, no other staff.... we didn't want to walk out without paying, it was so weird! Finally I hear a bunch of silverware hit a table around the corner, the server walks by, realized we were still there (did you take a nap and forget what day it was?) and they asked us how we were doing. 🤣

If I had to sum up La Cabañita is two words, it would be unimpressive and dissappointing. The service was not good. Our waitress hardly ever came over to us, and at the end of the meal when we were ready to leave, we sat there clearly finished, for about 15-20 minutes. Next, the Atmosphere. It is crowded, and seems to be in an identity crisis when it comes to Decor. It seems like its half going for fine dining ambiance, half a casual Mexican eatery. Most importantly, the food was definetely sub par. No salt on the tortilla chips, the guacamole was bland, watery, and VERY cold, making me think it may be frozen. I don't know that for sure, but it definetely was not made fresh to order. In addition, the guacamole was $13 for about a 1 Cup serving size (see my picture for reference). The tacos we had were also very bland. The steak was extremely dry, didn't have any flavor, and were generally underwhelming for a plate of 3 tacos that cost $18. Needless to say, we will not be coming back unless there are signifigant changes. In an area with plenty of tasty mexican restaurants, La Cabañita does not make the cut for me.

Food was so good we went back again!!! The Shrimp Chimichinga was out of this world. This time I tried all 3 of their margaritas: coconut, pineapple and hibiscus and everything was delicious! We sat outside and our waiter Jose is always nice and friendly. La Cabinita is now my favorite restaurant! My coworker told me about this place and it is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant now!!!! The tacos was amazing with the handmade corn tortillas and I had to Caldo De Res soup with corn tortillas and it was fantastic! I had the mango margarita and that was yummy as well. My hubby had the 3 tacos dinner with 2 al pastor and 1 shrimp and he said it was very good. We sat outside on this wonderful 70 degrees evening and it was just a wonderful date night. I highly recommend this place for some delicious Mexican food! Prices was reasonable too! Yummmm!

First timer here. Love Mexican cuisine. Trying to support local businesses during this time. Arrived at ~6:30p

The good: Outdoor seating quickly and not in a tent. The bathrooms were clean.

The not so good: Chips are crunchy thick tasteless corn (may be liked by some) salsa is watery crushed tomato with zero flavor, spice or heat. Asked for hot sauce to spice it up and it was also flavorless. We weren't ready to order the first time the server arrived and asked for a minute. The wait for her to return was excessive. An entire glass of water and a refill was served and drank before we placed the order. Asked for more water, salsa and hot sauce which never came out until the server returned to say dinner should be out soon. Had to keep asking for water refills. 'Soon' was also excessively long. I had camerones a la diabla. Beans were room temp, shrimp was tasty enough, rice was average. The entree was $19 according to menu. Companion had similar dish for $19 snd two street tacos. The bill was $54. No drinks, just water, no apps. They charged $20 for each entree for which I questioned. I was told the menu on the table we were sat at had the wrong menu. They didn't honor the price. Service was slow and forgetful as if the restaurant is new to the industry and hasn't figured it out.

Paid the bill. After it was run through, the host that sat us came out to apologize and said they printed them off for our current dining situation which last I checked we are still experiencing. She offered to fix it after I paid. I said we are done with this place.

$54 not including a tip is outrageous for basic Mexican food which I have had at diners for less and more authentic better tasting. It didn't apart busy for a Monday night. Three tables on the patio and a few tables in the makeshift tent and a few people in the inside bar. I don't care what city it's in. It was overpriced for nothing memorable except the poor service, high prices and the lack of Mexican flavor. The location is 5 miles from home and it was over a 2-hour dinner including a 38 minute round trip bike ride. Feeling taken advantage of by this restaurant which has left me with a bad taste. Disappointing. Not worth...

I USUALLY DONT LEAVE REVIEWS BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS NECCESARY. FIRSTLY THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME COMING TO THIS PLACE, HOWEVER I CALLED TO PLACE A ORDER FOR THE LUNCH SPECIAL WHICH IS $10 WHICH I ALREADY FEEL IS OVER PRICED FOR BASIC MEXICAN STYLED FOOD. I GET TO THE RESTURANT AND THE LADY GIVES ME A $15 TOTAL FOR A STEAK TACO, STEAK SOPA, RICE, BEANS & A DRINK. TO ME THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS FOR A QUICK LUNCH MEAL FOR CARRY OUT. I SIMPLY ASKED HER WHY SO MUCH BECAUSE I WAS GIVEN A $10 TOTAL OVER THE PHONE. SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO SPEAK VERY IGNORATLY CALLING OVER HER CO WORKER WHO TOOK THE ORDER, THE COWORKER THEN SAYS " YOUR LYING I DIDNT GIVE YOU THAT TOTAL AND I LET YOU KNOW STEAK WAS AN EXTRA $1 PER ITEM " NOW YOU ALL CAN UNDERSTAND MY FUSTRATION 1. YOU DONT ARGUE WITH A CUSTOMER AT ALL WHAT HAPPEND TO " THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT " 2. WHAT TYPE OF EMPLOYEE CALLS A NEW CUSTOMER A LIAR?? 3. HE DID NOT TELL ME IT WOULD BE EXTRA AND HE DID TELL ME THE ALMOST $11 TOTAL OVER THE PHONE. I THEN WALKED OUT VERY UPSET BECAUSE OF THE DISRESPCT AND I TOLDTHEM I WILL TAKE MY MONEY ELSEWHERE, THEY LET ME WALK OUT PROCEEDING TO TALK IGNORANTLY. I GOT IN THE CAR AND IMMIDIATELY CALLED AND ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER THE SAME WOMAN I SPOKE WITH AT THE CASH REGISTER ANSWERED SAYING SHE WAS A MANAGER AND SAID " IM NOT REMAKING THE FOOD FOR IT TO BE CHEAPER FOR YOU IM NOT WASTING MY FOOD YOU CAN COME BACK IN AND GET IT OR YOU CAN LEAVE IT " AND I HUNG UP JUST IN AWE AT THE UNPROFESSIONALISM.....MORAL OF THE STORY IS THIS PLACE IS EXTREMLY IGNORANT, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND THE MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL AND FOR THE MANAGER TO LET HER EMPLOYEE SIT THERE AND CALL ME A LIAR IS EXTREMLY DISRESPECTFUL. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MY TIME, GAS & BREAK TIME I WASTED FOR NO FOOD & SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPIERNCE. IM DISGUSTED AT HOW THEY THINK ITS OKAY TO DO BUSINESS IN SUCH A WAY, THE FOOD MAY BE GOOD " IDK " BUT ITS NOPT WORTH IT IF THEY DONT EVEN VALUE YOUR BUSINESS......MY LAWYER WILL BE CONTACTED...

Visited this place for a farewell dinner for a friend. First things first, this cooling system in this place is horrible. The waitress, myself and other patrons were perspiring. Second, I have never in my life consumed a dish that was so bad that I wanted to send it back immediately. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, it came with 3/4 corn tortillas and on a regular plate, I could literally count the veggies and shrimp on my plate it was such a small portion. Whatever base they use for the sauce they put over the shrimp, which I have never had sauce on a fajita player, makes it taste like a spittle infused with some remnants of white wine. I only recall one person saying that one of the appetizers was pretty good which was the cheese and chicken dip I believe. The waitress never gave us her name and I had to pry the daily specials info out of her, she also got upset with us because we asked her for separate checks, she checked in our tables 2 or 3 times and we were there for hours. Now water refills, no plates taken away, nothing. She told us she was too busy to separate our checks, I thought that was more insulting than not having good service rendered. In order to get the taste out of my mouth I ended up ordering their Friday special which is a $5 margarita, not too bad considering I don't indulge...
