Are We Live — Restaurant in Lyons Township

Katherine and I had a great time at Are We Live. Great atmosphere.

The service was Fantastic! Our server was always attentive right on point and the other helpers and servers were always clearing our finished dishes at just the right time while also proactively wiping off our table if we had a minor spill of food or drink. Love it!

Enjoyed a traditional gin martini with a splash of vermouth. The house gin that I wanted to try was actually very good and wes a great change from my usual go to, Bombay Sapphire. Food was amazing from Zitt è Zitt! The veal cutlets are off the charts amazing and the homemade rigatoni with sausage was delicious. I can only eat so much cream based sauce, but I finished the whole dish!

The Pasquale olive oil at the table (to dip the delicious fresh bread into!) was off the charts amazing. Katherine said it was the best tasting olive oil...

We were here for our friends birthday. The chef refused to make kabob vegetables without onions, the table was cramped with one of our guests sitting against the decorative tree, the bathrooms were not sufficient for the amount of patrons and the size of the stalls in the women's bathroom were barely big enough for a 3year old. The food came out at different time with the birthday guest getting server last, causing most of our food to get cold. A hair was also found in the birthday guests food causing a further delay while a new dish was prepared. Food quality was decent, but not worth the price. This place is struggling for an identity, the dance floor is small and the bar area is cramped. Is this a restaurant or a night club? Am I Live might do well to pick an identity and...

Food was good, but expensive. Service was okay. But the people in the crowds were very closed off, antisocial, and yet at the same time, it is DuPage County, Illinois, where even New Yorkers are much friendlier.

The big letdown, Burr Ridge does not allow anyone not a current Burr Ridge resident at any restaurant or bar within the Village of Burr Ridge anymore. Burr Ridge has become a very closed off community.
