I have been staying here for well over a year during a huge transition in my life. Is this place brand spanking new? No. There have been recent upgrades in the last couple months in mattresses, bedframes & TV's. Even so, while not being entirely new or "perfect", it is VERY well maintained. Stuff happens. Things reach the end of their proverbial lifespan. The staff is on top of it as soon as you let them know something has happened. People can't be in 2 places at once. Even so, John was able to get the light in the bathroom replaced less than an hour after it went out. Sometimes, things happen when something needs to be ordered. This is called life. However, when something like that happens here, again, they are on it immediately & once whatever - parts, etc - is needed rrives, John gets it taken care of ASAP, makes sure it is done right & with a smile on his face no matter how difficult &/or unpleasant of a task you just know it is. All housekeeping staff members are very polite, respectful, hard working, dilligent & helpful. The manager, Juanita, is everything that someone in her position should be. She is first & foremost concerned that you are having the best experience as a guest that is possible & works tirelessly to ensure it. She does enforce policies - as she absolutely should, as does her staff- to ensure the best experience for everyone staying here. That is her job. Room inspections inspections are a necessary part of that. If things are not up to snuff, you will be informed. However, she & her staff also understand that you may had a difficult week or couple of weeks. They will work with you & what happens after is up to you. The entire staff here CLEARLY is focused on customer service & will do everything possible to make your stay the best whether it is 1 day or far longer. Juanita & the entire front desk staff - ESPECIALLY Diana, Lorena and Vicki will bend over backwards to help you feel comfortable however long you will be staying, period end of sentence. They are the REAL deal. Accept no...

Iāve stayed at several Extended Stay America locations and always appreciated their comfort and value, but my recent stay at the Burr Ridge location was by far the worst hotel experience Iāve ever had, anywhere.
From the moment my girlfriend and I checked in, it felt like the entire staff had already decided we didnāt belong there. We both have tattoos and piercings, but that shouldnāt mean we deserve to be treated like criminals. Throughout our stay, the staff constantly watched us, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was as if they were actively looking for any excuse to get us in trouble or kick us out. One older woman with glasses, in particular, seemed determined to catch us doing something wrong, even when there was no reason for suspicion.
The anxiety from being profiled and harassed by the staff ruined what should have been a relaxing week. At no point did the manager step in to address the situation; in fact, it seemed like she encouraged this behavior. I felt like we were being punished simply for how we look.
To be fair, a couple of my friends were caught smoking in the hotel room, but neither my girlfriend nor I were present at the time. Despite this, we were treated as if we were guilty by association, even though we had nothing to do with the incident.
Iāve never felt so unwelcome or unfairly judged at any hotel, motel, or Airbnb. If you value being treated with basic respectāregardless of your appearanceāI strongly recommend staying elsewhere. Extended Stay America as a brand is usually great, but the staff at Burr Ridge desperately need training on how to treat all guests equally and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for a small vacation with my husband and our kids. Upon arrival the room looked decent, you can tell it is old, wood chopped on cabinets and a picture frame that was cracked in the bathroom, a lamp on the wall , a piece of it kept coming off when touched. Needed to be much more cleaner especially when people stay for long periods. We should arrive in an already cleaned room. I noticed a old nasty looking spill on the night stand they had, the fridge had some type of old spill going down the handle also. We stayed on the first floor it was pretty quiet so that was great, especially since we have young children that need to sleep in a quiet area. The service was great. They had everything we needed for making food there, they gave my husband a small bin with everything, glass plates, coffee cups plastic cups to wash, bowls, silverware, pans.. everything! He came with a coffee maker too! And they gave us a wash rag, we did ask for some dish soap which they gladly provided. I like that we were on the first floor and we just walk a bit down by the front and grab some little bit of hot water and packs of oatmeal and plastic spoons and muffins to eat and snack on in the early mornings. The biggest downside was the cleanliness of the room. And the floor was actually really nasty. I wanted to mop it myself but I didn't want to go buy anything for only a two night stay when I think they should've cleaned it before anyone stays there. I kept my shoes on whenever I got off the beds. My kids and husband didn't so their socks were black and we only stayed for 2 nights. Location was okay it was quiet and stuff to do...
