The highest prices I've ever seen at any Starbucks anywhere in the US (or Europe for that matter). Ordered one grande drink with no extra shots and it was over $10. Also, they have computer issues linking your order to your Starbucks app/account, so you might not get stars for the purchase. From other reviews, seems like this is an ongoing problem. Order was prepared correctly and tasted right compared to other Starbucks locations. Service was reasonably quick from a polite staff. Unfortunately though, it's Michigan in May so there were thousands of midge flies. You had to get through swarms of them at the front doors just to get inside. Dead midge flies in the store, on the counters, and behind the glass food shelves. I know they can't do anything about the outside flies, but certainly someone could clean up the dead ones inside periodically. I guess the fly problem will take care of itself after May. The high prices? The high prices are a business decision. It was my fault for not looking at the price before I ordered. And since they already started my order, it would have been wrong to cancel it. But I won't be...
Read moreI understand mackinaw is more expensive for everything but the prices here are absolutely absurd. My wife, daughter and I stopped in for some drinks as we made our way north. We ordered a trenta dragon drink (9.45 here, would be 6.25 at your regular Starbucks.) a venti iced latte (9.15 here, and 5.75 at a normal Starbucks.) and a venti blonde roast that was 5.35, when itâs usually 3.25.
Along with that, please teach your baristas that a venti iced anything would come with 3 shots of espresso. My wifeâs latte tasted like milk upon asking about it we were told we could get the extra shot if we paid for it. As far as Iâm concerned with that price, and the fact it does come with three, it was paid for. Coffee tasted old, luckily my daughter said her drink was okay.
The barista seemed absolutely miserable to be there, no personality whatsoever, we were not greeted, just a âwhat would you likeâ. I have my credit card directly on my app, and they couldnât take it.
Save your money and go to one of the local coffee shops. For 23.39 the i would hope my drinks would be...
Read moreGoogle Reviews' hours are slightly off. This Starbuck's is open 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. and Sunday; then 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Fri. and Sat. NOTE: It's also seasonal, like 97% of the businesses in Mackinaw City. Businesses are (typically) open from mid-May through mid-November in Mackinaw. Something to keep in mind; when they close for the winter, most review sites think that mistakenly means this Starbuck's location is closed "permanently" (including Google).
And nope, not an employee. Just a local who wants to make sure details are correct for local businesses whenever I can. This location has one of the loveliest Starbuck's lounges ever, located on the second floor. Small retail space but fast and friendly service. Oddly, there's an ice cream shop inside as well that's seldom open (so wasted space, really). Oh, and there's a short zipline ride you can take from the third floor, if all that luscious caffeine is making you...
