The girl skin at check in was absolutely amazing! I cannot stress enough that she doesn’t deserve to work in a place like this. She deserves more! After she showed me to our room for the week, I went and got my service dog and family. We made it to the room with our belongings. After a 5 hour car ride, I used the elevator to take my dog outside. On our way back to our 3rd floor room, the elevator stopped on the 2nd floor and the door wouldn’t open more than a few inches. I started to panic, like anyone would, and pulled the door trying to get out. I tried to push the door open button and other floors buttons but it didn’t work so I pulled the door again. It finally started to open and close repeatedly, so when it was in an open position, my service dog and I ran out onto the 2nd floor. I went to report it to the front desk and was told by a young Indian gentleman that he would notify a manager and maintenance. I request the time a manager would be in and was told Tuesday at 1 pm. So I waited until the next day and went on just using the stairs the rest of the day. Around 230 Tuesday I went to check in with management, who I later found out her name is Nicole. She was very irritated with me from the start. Another guest came in and waited patiently, listening to what was being said. I expressed my concerns and she yelled at me. Telling me that I was dumb for jumping out when the door was moving. Stated that I should have been smarter and pushed the phone button. She went off on me with the gentleman watching. Yes I did call her the B word but that was after being yelled at for almost 5 mins. I left the office in tears. The rest of the week my entire family wouldn’t use the elevator. And being our room was right next to it, not only was it a long walk to get to the stairs, but we also got to hear when the other guest got stuck on the elevator by the loud buzzing sound it makes.
To top it off there was no cold water, yes I said cold water. The TV didn’t work and neither did...
Read moreUpon entering our room, the pillow case for one of the pillows was laying on the bed. The pillow was on the ground between the night stand and the wall. When I picked the pillow up, there was dust, crumbs and hair from the floor all over the pillow. It was disgusting. The floor didn't look like it had been recently vacuumed and not vacuumed for days/weeks under the bed and in between the nightstands and the bed. I walked in to the bathroom and behind the door was several pubic hairs on the floor. The door that seperated the two rooms had a large section of carpet missing. The room smelled awful and when we lifted the sheets up, there were pubic hairs on the mattress pad as well as hairs on the pillows that were on the bed. Absolutely disgusting. I booked 2 rooms here through priceline and was able to get a refund for our room, however, our other friends had not shown up yet, so they would not let me cancel that room until they arrived to see if the room was unsatisfactory as well. When my friends got there and checked in, they mentioned to the front desk girl that I had a problem with my room and the front desk girl said, "yeah, there was a pillow case missing." Our friends ended up staying only because they got there late and were worried that everything else would be booked.
When I called the front desk to explain what we were seeing in our room, the front desk girl said that "she could not leave the front desk, but she would let her manager know about the room so the manager could talk to housekeeping. This is not a place I recommed, nor would I ever stay there. I recommend that Priceline check this hotel out and reconsider having this hotel as one of their choices. I have always had a good experience with Priceline, this...

The Bad: When we booked a 2 room suite, we assumed we would be getting a 2 room suite with separate bedrooms for our 24 year old daughter and my wife and myself. Nope. Cable that is in and out of focus at random intervals? Yes.
Ladies, my wife would like me to also say that the sandpaper bottom tub is very terrible to sit your butt on when taking a bath.
Hands down, the creepiest group of women manning the front desk and office........they were even mean to my daughter who has a prosthetic leg. Rude, rude, rude.
When we pulled in and parked (after having been treated like dirt at the Lakeside location) we noticed our van was leaking a lot of fluid, and our power steering had died.
I went to the office, and, met the "clerk" at the desk (this was July 8th 2018......fire that lady!), told her my story, and asked her if there was a tow service they worked with or knew about that I could call. Nasty look on her face and attitude the whole time, cut me off and just said, "No! Sorry!".......wow. Got the van fixed, but no thanks to the nasty lady at the counter.
Never cleaned our room in the 3 days and 2 nights we were there. No new towels, no dumped garbage........nothing.
Cold place, terrible customer service, and minimal creature comforts. Not recommended. Will not stay at either Days Inn in Mackinaw City after...
