Sugar Daddy's — Restaurant in Madeira Beach

Beware: Customer is always wrong! I was there Saturday 6/18/21 at 4pm. After a fun day shopping and eating, we decided to finish the day with some ice cream before hitting the road. I'll try to keep it short... My 65 yo MIL asked what was in the one of the Raspberry flavors they had, the response we got was, "There are descriptions on each of the labels." Well we were on the opposite side of the store now, and people were in the way. Okay..... my MIL tries the Lemon Blueberry and eventually orders 1 scoop of it. She gets her scoop and its Lemon Sorbet. After begging for the worker's attention, she asks for the Lemon Blueberry. "No, you said and pointed at Lemon, NOT lemon blueberry." (Is it really that hard of a stretch to assume you just didn't hear the Blueberry part? Let alone, thats the flavor she even tried beforehand) Worker finishes up the Frappe that I ordered and then rings us up. I noticed the total on the calculator came to $19.98. I handed her my card, and she charges me $20 even. I don't care about the pennies, but during our terrible experience, do you think you or the owner are due my pennies? Mainly, I just felt it was shady. I get my card back and ask if she is going to give my MIL the ice cream she ordered? "NO, she ordered Lemon!" I asked if this was really how she was going to handle it? Again, this is for 1 scoop, not like it was a 5 scoop error. She again continued to fight us and then kinda-sorta-but-not-really apologized by saying she's been dealing with people all day. Um, yes, its called a job. I hope the owner sees...

We were in the area for spring training baseball and came to John’s Pass on the recommendation of a local friend. We had just finished eating dinner on the dock at Caddy’s and came looking for ice cream… and this place did not disappoint! We love supporting local and independent ice cream places like this especially when the product is so good. I got a waffle cone with Captain Butterscotch and my wife got one of their chocolate ice creams - both were very good. And it’s just fun to eat ice cream on the boardwalk!...

Soooooo yum! Girls working were so super sweet! The key lime cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake were definitely in my top 3! They had some super unique flavors, and they weren’t hesitant to offer samples. Even when customers came in, staff stayed engaged and helpful to ALL customers. This attentiveness in such young staff was super impressive 14Apr22 6-close 💞 staff? Wonderful place. Will definitely visit if I’m ever in town again.
