I would give this place 0 stars if able to just because of the rudeness of the staff. My husband and I came to this location while on vacation to Florida to buy some souvenirs. My husband has a difficult time breathing due to medical issues, so he has a hard time wearing the masks. We walked into the store without his mask, as we had not had any trouble in any of the other stores. As we were shopping, a female employee told my husband that he could not be in the store without a mask. He politely turned to her amd told her his issues, and she said 'It doesn't matter, we have a store policy that says you have to wear it.' He said 'OK, sorry I haven't had any trouble in any other stores', and we proceded to walk towards the exit of the store. She proceeded to follow us to the exit and threatened to follow us to our car and call the cops and wait there till they came. She accused my husband of coughing in the store, which she said was punishable by jail time and a fine. Once I advised her that she was threatening us and asked her for her name, she stood at the exit and screamed 'My name is Santa Claus!' My husband tried to ask the other employeees what her name was, but they would not tell us. So we left. NEVER TO RETURN AT ANY SYRF STYLE LOCATION. I used to rave about this store and the variety of items they have, but I REFUSE to ever step inside one again. All they care about is revenue, no customer service etiquette AT ALL. We come to this store when on vacation to buy souvenirs, not to be harassed even after we apologized and were leaving without making a scene. So, unless you want to be harrassed by 'Santa Claus', there are PLENTY of other stores at John's Pass to buy gifts, etc. I would spend your...
Read moreMe and my wife were at this surf style, shopped here way early in the day at like 11 Am , noonish. We shopped in here for like an hour or so I bought two nice tank tops she herself bought everything under the sun. Hoodie, her brother a shirt , coasters, her mom an ash tray , a shot glass. between the two of us we dropped a buck 40 easily. The thing was we were packing to fly back to NY at like 10:30 - 10:45 that evening and realized a shirt she bought from another store she spent a good $40 -$45 on for that shirt alone we never got back to our condo with and we were sure we had set it down in this store by mistake while we were browsing around, my wife was certain we would never get the shirt. I called in the last ten mins of their working hours and the gentleman informed me they had found the shirt earlier in the day and he waited for me to sprint (literally run my 225 Lbs behind down there as fast as I could from like 5 blocks up) and he opened the door and gave me my wife's shirt, (our flight out was very early the next morning at 7 am before they even opened we would of not been able to make it in the morning when they opened to retrieve it) thank u so much for your store associate who waited for me to run down there and grab the shirt we appreciate it so much, I can not thank him enough and we are forever grateful that you guys stayed open for me to come and grab it so we can make it back home with it. I thank u my wife thanks u , thank u over and over again. Didn't catch his name but thank u to that young man and we appreciate it...
Read moreWent there after we had an amazing day at Madeira Beach and a nice lunch at The Reef. Stopped her because no one in my family of seven had gotten any souvenirs. The store clerk told my 6 year old “you better out that back” to the souvenir I knew she was carrying as she picked it out. Then my daughter, having a bladder disorder and POTS (a heart disorder) asked if there was a bathroom she got a rude “nope”. No apology, to alternate place to use a bathroom. Nothing. Dehumanizing. We are not some drunk and rowdy frat boys. We were a family that was going to spend a couple hundred dollars. I was looking at a $50 swimsuit, my daughter( the one that heavens forbid had a bodily function, had two $40 sweatshirt. That’s was before I caught up with my husband who was also shopping. I get not having a public restroom somewhat because it’s something else you have to keep up. But one of these days someone is just going to relieve themselves in your dressing rooms. We left with out buying a single thing and will never be back. Went to the 7 eleven down the street, nicest workers you would ever want to meet and a clean bathroom to use. Bottom line yeah some of their stuff is cute, don’t even think have having to go to the bathroom and don’t expect staff to be friendly. It’s all about...
