Dolphin Quest Eco Tours — Attraction in Madeira Beach

I recently went on Sunshine Scenic Tours’ Dolphin Quest, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. We were lucky enough to see so many dolphins up close, and they seemed just as curious about us as we were about them!

A huge shoutout to our amazing tour guide, Tracey, who truly made the experience memorable. Tracey was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about the marine life and the area. She kept us entertained with fascinating facts, fun stories, and made sure everyone on board had a great time. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear she genuinely cared about ensuring each guest had an unforgettable experience.

The boat was comfortable, the scenery was stunning, and the whole trip felt like a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I can’t recommend Sunshine Scenic Tours’ Dolphin Quest enough—it’s a must-do if you’re looking to enjoy the beauty of the bay and get up close with these amazing creatures. Thank you, Tracey, for making it so special!

Chose the 6:30pm sunset tour. The tour was pretty good, enjoyable as a cruise around the little bay. We didn’t see any dolphins though and we had to dock about 30mins early, due to a storm, so didn’t get to see the sunset either. So that was disappointing. Basically paid to just be cruised around for an hour.

To be clear, I do not blame the weather on the crew. That obviously could not be helped. However, when you cut the time of the cruise short by a third, a third of the payment should be refunded especially when considering that 2 of the 3 things promised in the title of the cruise (sunset dolphin cruise) did not even happen. Plus my debit card was almost lost by the staff, that was a frightening moment. Thankfully it was found!

Also, the sarcastic response from the business lost this place another star (was previously 4/5 stars). Note to business: Try focusing on what can be changed and not the minor part of the complaint. The crew on the boat was amazing though,...

I highly recommend Dolphin Quest! Our captain and guide, Mike and Kirsten were amazing! Kirsten was a wealth of knowledge about dolphins, and she even knew very detailed information about the dolphins we saw. I liked that they had the finbook which had photos of different dolphins, their traits and interesting facts about them. Kristen was able to tell us about the history of the dolphins we saw, and conservation efforts being made to keep the dolphins safe and healthy.

Mike seemed to know where exactly to find the dolphins and he had a lot of wonderful information about their habits, and what they liked to do. He was always really respect of them, never scaring them or putting them in dangerous situations. The dolphins did play in our wake and swam under the boat.
