Horrible experience. Rude staff. Came to stay with my daughter for a weekend. Came in to dirty wash clothes hanging in the shower and zero toilet paper. Asked for some tp was told I could have 1 roll. Apparently they are still hoarding. The room was dirty and everything was broken, phone didn't even work, no dial tone nothing. Vomit on the sink I had to clean off,, sink was moldy told. Broken knows on the dressers and just look at that couch. My 11 year old wouldn't even sit on it. She slept on the floor.. The view was great but I was awoke at 1130 by teenagers running up and down the hallway and banging on our wall. I opened the door and asked if they could stop and they seemed to although I met another guest from the floor below us who assured me they thought they were coming through her ceiling about midnight. When I complained to the front desk the rude employee told me I should have called security the night before. Ok next time security it is. I went to the pool to swim and found on numerous occasions there were no pool towels. I specifically called to ask before I went if I should bring my own because I was trying to pack light and was told they supplied pool and beach towels. Bring your own!!! The pool is small and gets very crowded too. The second pool is only a wading pool but it was less crowded so we sat in that. Sorry I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it here. It looks nicer than it is by far. Front desk didn't care at all. Kept giving excuses and told me to call booking.com to complain.

This was a decent place for us to celebrate our 1 yr. anniversary on a budget. The rooftop sundeck seemed to have sufficient seating but also seemed to be under utilized. It has potential for being more than just a sundeck. The views are nice though, 360 from ocean on one side to bay on the other. The location was superb. Very close to John's Pass that has many stores open, a few were closed. We caught the Calypso Breeze from there and also rented Jet Ski's from Woody's. The only drawback which would likely keep us from returning was the bed was not very comfortable. It consisted of a decent mattress but the problem is it was resting on a metal boxspring/stand that was also closed in by a metal border around it. That thing squeaked with every little movement. So, really interfered with getting a quality night's sleep. I dont know if every room has a bed like that. We were in an ocean front room which is a smaller building in front of a larger one that has street and pool views. The view of the ocean was superb and the rooms were quiet with the door closed. It's an older hotel but we liked the room amenities and that there was no carpet cuz you will likely bring sand in and we just used the broom provided to sweep up, as needed. The basket system for housekeeping worked well. I also really liked the waterproof wristband for room key. That was super convenient. All in all, I would recommend and just note to ask about the bed on the metal frame situation.

I love coming to the Barefoot Beach Resort. Living in Chicago, my kids always want to go to Florida to visit the beach. This resort offers the pool and jacuzzi, fresh towels (which they allow you to take to beach - but sometimes they were low, but they were quick to replace with fresh ones), and ice machines. If you want to go to the beach, they have an entrance literally right behind the resort with a wash off station. Their staff is amazing!! They are so welcoming and informative. They have a spacious rooftop, which hopefully by my next visit, will offer food and drinks. The rooms are so comfortable and cool. I saw the maintenence crew working all day, going room from room, and making repairs where needed. The front of the building, there is a waterfall, but it was being repaired from damages. They really bounced back quickly from Hurricane Milton. They still have some recovery to do, so people need to be understanding and patient with their comments. Some places haven't even started their recovery and some were a total loss. From the years I have visited I stayed in different rooms. The beach side rooms are in the older building and have amazing views!! The newer building with the suites had a great view, but some were limited because of the old building. But all have access to the roof where there are gorgeous sunsets!! I hope they bring back the pool side cabanas!! See you next year #barefootclub

🌴 Barefoot Beach Club: A Slice of Coastal Heaven! 🌴||If paradise had an address, it would be Barefoot Beach Club. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel like Poseidon himself summoned you to his personal resort, because this place is divine.||🧼 Room Cleanliness - Our room sparkled as if the cleaning crew used fairy dust and moonlight. The floors glisten, the linens are pristine, and not a speck dares to exist under the watchful eyes of the immaculate housekeeping team.||🛏️ Room Facilities These rooms are equipped like they were designed by a comfort-loving wizard. Plush beds that cradle you like a cloud, Although the base can be slightly annoying when you've kicked it for the hundredth time. Climate control x 2 smoother than a sea breeze, and amenities that seem telepathically tailored to your every desire, from sleek TVs and coffee makers that brew liquid joy to irons and all essantial neccesities. The basket system is truly genius providing everything you need exactly when needed but keeping that all important feature PRIVACY.||🏊 Pool Area The pool? Oh, it’s not just a pool, it’s an aquatic Eden. Crystal-clear water so inviting, it practically whispers your name. Lounging poolside feels like basking in a sunbeam handcrafted by Zeus himself. And the vibe? Equal parts chill and dreamlike. The staff are attentive never will you be without towels or a genuine smile. plenty of chairs and loungers but maybe a little light on umbrellas.||🚗 Parking Parking here is a miracle in motion. It's so easy and accessible, it feels like they read your mind before you even turn the ignition. You’ll swear someone paved it with hospitality and convenience. Also not forgetting free surely a pricless gift from the holiday gods themselves in this day and age. ||📍 Location Near John’s Pass Steps, yes, steps, from John's Pass. You can practically smell the salt air and hear the cheerful bustle of this seaside treasure from your balcony. Shopping, dining, and marine adventures are so close, you’ll think you stumbled into a postcard.||🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Staff The staff are not just welcoming they are hospitality incarnate possible the main highlight themselves. You’ll be greeted like royalty, remembered like family, and pampered like a beloved guest of honor. Their warmth could thaw the Arctic.||🌅 Views The views? No camera can do them justice. Sunsets so breathtaking they should be on canvas in a gallery. Morning light dances across the Gulf like a love letter from the sky.||Barefoot Beach Club isn’t a hotel. It’s a dream you don’t have to...

Stayed here for a few days, not sure if I would stay again. If I receive a good rate again I can be swayed but not a place I would jump on right away. Positives is it’s close to the beach, and Johns pass. The pool area is really nice and kept clean, with ample amount of seating. I also like that they have a hot tub, as well as a large 0 depth pool. I also like that every room has a nice balcony, and the patio seating/grilling area. One of my favorite features was how nice the exterior of the hotel is and the good upkeep of the grounds, as well as the hose to rinse your feet being connected to the stairs right off the beach access was a super nice touch. Things I didnt like is the hot tub jets were not working correctly the whole time. I didn’t think the outside matched the inside of the rooms, like the rooms are outdated compared to how upscale the outdoor area looks. I felt bamboozled by the “resort” fee that had to be paid upon check in I still don’t really know what that is for as it’s not really a resort. The office closes at 5 most days, which is a little strange when doing check in late, it didn’t really feel safe or secure. The fitness center could only be used when someone was in the office, so during the day when you should be out enjoying the weather so that’s really disappointing. I also was not really a fan of how their house keeping was, I appreciate them not coming in the room everyday but I don’t appreciate them leaving an envelope for a tip in the room yeah noo, since they don’t really do anything while your staying. Back to the room so it is outdated compared to the outside but large. Love the kitchenette area that was perfect and deff equip with all your needs. I didn’t like that lights were not working in my room, there was a ton of little ants in my room, and found just little things that didn’t seemed to be cleaned in a long time. The heating and cooling system also didn’t seem to really work right and I was constantly playing with it to get a good temp. Overall, the experience was 50/50. I feel like the hotel has a lot of positives but a lot of things can be improved too. But staff I did interact with were super kind, and...

POSTED BY RENEE MATHES: Stayed for three nights at the end of April. We were in a gulf-view room (I think room 312) on the third floor. It was AWESOME! It was a corner room with the stairs right outside our door. So convenient and great for a little exercise. The pool-area entrance was at the bottom of the stairs and we were able to park our car in a spot near it which made running to the car a quick trip (Parking is located on the ground floor so the hotel rooms actually start on the second floor). View from the room was beautiful and the balcony was very nice to have (unfortunately, hot air from the a/c unit did blow on the person sitting on the chair in front of it, so instead I just hung wet bathing suits on that chair and they dried much faster than just over the railing! Lemonade from lemons...). There were a few rough patches here and there but, honestly, I chalked it up to being located so close to the salty sea air. The pool was fabulous and my kids loved the two hammocks in that area. My husband liked sitting at the tables in the shade of the umbrellas. The laundry room was over by the elevator which was just a short walk down the outdoor hallway. Had a tv and seating in the air conditioned laundry room. Washers and dryers worked well and seemed well cared for. Beach access was simple and had water faucets at the edge of the beach so the sand could be washed off of feet instead of being dragged into the room. Beautiful sunsets!! My daughters found some nice little shells and the waves were nice but nothing huge unless the jet skis were flying by (it IS the gulf, after all). Perfect for little kids to frolic in. Beach was not at all crowded. There were several beach chairs, pails/shovels and "boogie boards" left behind by past guests that current guests are welcome to borrow. Nice considering we flew down and didn't have room in our suitcases for those things! Front desk staff was very helpful and patient with all our questions. Quick walk to the Johns Pass Boardwalk. Mad Beach Brewery was great. Would, without question, stay here...
