We had an awful experience here, and won’t be back - it’s worth it to drive farther to literally any other Wendy’s locations in the area, as we’ve not had even a semi-decent experience here in years.
We went through Sunday 1/7/2024 at right about 7PM. It took us about 5 minutes of waiting to get to the speaker - not horrible, but a lot of that was the car in front of us waiting.
When we got to the speaker, we were rudely greeted, not even a hi. Instead, it was “what do you want?”. Ordering took a very long time - we didn’t have anything complex (we only modified one sandwich), but still ordered a single item at a time. One item we ordered, one of the specialty chicken sandwiches, seemed to cause a lot of problems. The person on the speaker asked several times about the burger we were ordering, but I had already said it was chicken several times. Finally and without any notice, they just went totally silent on the speaker for 2 full minutes. It was to the point that we thought their speaker/computer crashed. Having worked in fast food, we know how that can just happen. But when they finally came back, there was no apology for the awkward and unexpected absence of anyone on the other end, just “what else?”
We finally made it through ordering, which in itself took nearly ten minutes. When we got our food, we decided to check the bags in the parking lot, as it didn’t seem to be enough. We found one wrong burger, one missing chicken sandwich, and one missing order of baconator fries. We went back around to the drive through (lobby was closed), and there were 5 cars in front of us - given that it took us over ten minutes to get through with just two cars in front of us, we called in.
The manager answered nearly instantly. We explained what was wrong with our order, and she made it very clear that we didn’t pay for the missing items, because they were rung up. No apologies here either. Instead, in the background, we could hear another employee talking about us, literal anger in their voice that we’d have the audacity to call in for missing items at all. The manager fully let this employee act like this without saying a word, and told us to come to the drive through window, which obviously meant more wait.
We finally got to the window, more than ten additional minutes later, and finally got to talk to the manager. She came over and again tried to explain how we were wrong. We hadn’t asked a single time for anything free, but they were defensive and just wanted to “win” / “be right”. She brought over a copy of the receipt for just this purpose, and a receipt that we hadn’t even been given in the first place. We mentioned how we had heard employees talking about us when we called in, and she said “well I’m the manager, I’ll take care of that”, but she let it happen until she knew we heard it.
We explained that we just wanted to get the items we ordered that hadn’t been rung up, and she asked us to pull forward. We said we didn’t want to do that because at this point it had been a full half hour at this location, and asked for a refund, along with offering all of the food back. The person in the window said they couldn’t take food back and then asked the manager for a refund. Again, she came over with a receipt, so we had to ask AGAIN for a refund. She angrily said “well then give me my food!”, to which we happily returned the cold food and melted frostys. She then took o it card to do the refund.
A couple of minutes later, she came back to the window. She let us know she did the refund wrong and needed more time, and asked us to pull forward again. We told her that since she had our credit card, we weren’t going to pull away from the window, especially with their lobby closed. She got more angry and told us that we were ruining their drive thru times, because apparently that was suddenly a priority even though it hadn’t been for us. We reiterated that we weren’t leaving without our credit card, and she angrily completed the window. She handed the card back, said “have a good night”, and shut the...
Read moreWow! I don't even know where to start... I first had Wendy's breakfast back when there were only a handful of locations serving it which was atleast 2-3 years ago. It has GREATLY improved since then. Not that product quality was an issue, Wendy's has always had outstanding quality in my opinion. Their overall breakfast selection has just improved, as far as the actual choices you have and as well as having some very original options to choose from.
Anyway, to the point!
I had been craving their Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant (# 1 on their menu) recently since the last time having it a few months ago. This sandwich is AMAZING! You immediately get that nice Maple smell and taste from the Maple Butter they use. Next, you get a crunch of a modest amount of bacon(I think Wendy's has the best bacon out of any typical fast food place) right before biting into a juicy piece of chicken breast, which has always been some of the best out there.
All of this deliciousness is surrounded by a nice croissant which holds up just perfectly, all while absorbing all the flavors of the ingredients down to the very last bite.
Each meal comes with some perfectly seasoned potato wedges (not sure what other options there are, if any) and a drink. Just like any fries or potatoes, they do lose their edge if they've been in the warmer too long, but the last several times I've had them, they've been piping hot and fresh.
Your choice of drink is also included. I always get the orange juice, which is definitely premium and not from concentrate. It comes in a sealed bottle and is definitely an adequate portion for the whole meal.
This combo is definitely a 'go to' option for me and just one of the two that I have tried recently
That was just the tip of the figurative breakfast iceberg! That visit was yesterday, today I had to come back after seeing the Breakfast Baconator and give it a try.
Let me tell you, everything that they pack into this breakfast sandwich is ridiculous. It is an actual breakfast masterpiece! I don't know how they did it, but they must have had Gordon Ramsey, Bobby Flay, Harley Morenstein(the guy from 'Epic Meal Time' on YouTube), and Leonardo DaVinci himself create this wonderful piece of deliciousness.
Included in this beast is 6, yes I said SIX strips of Wendy's amazing, perfectly crisp bacon, a fried egg, 2 slices of American Cheese, some Swiss Hollandaise sauce, and for the foundation of everything, a square sausage patty, all between two buns that perfectly held everything together for the entire meal. This thing tasted beyond what I could have hoped for, and honestly i don't think I was quite ready for the magnitude of it because it more than filled me up, also considering I had almost the whole order of wedges before eating it.
The flavors of the ingredients come together so excellently, that nothing overpowers the other, yet you can taste everything individually.
Well done Wendy's, well done! I will definitely be back for both of these options as well as trying new ones. Although, I will definitely be making sure I am a little more hungry and ready for the Breakfast Baconator.
Oh! And I can hardly forget! The drive thru staff has been outstanding! The same blonde woman all 3 times I've gone for breakfast, and I can't believe I never got her name, but aside from the food and consistently of the other staff, it is her cheery attitude and personality that keeps me coming back to...
Read moreMy family went here for a late lunch yesterday and it was not a good experience. We got there around 3:15pm, so the place was dead (which leaves no excuse for the way the place looked). While I was in the middle of ordering, the guy behind the POS register turned around to join his co-workers in their conversation. I just stood there is disbelief. Finally he turned back and finished taking our order. While we were waiting for our food I was looking around; it was pretty nasty. The floors were dirty with fries here and there and pieces of trash here and there. Most of the tables were dirty. The countertops by the drinks were wet and sticky. I saw a guy eat a French fry as he was putting together a drive-thru order. The trash was full. Mind you, things weren't so busy that one or two workers couldn't go into the dining area and clean. When we got our food the guy behind the counter said, "it's all there.......I think? .....if it's not just tell me." We got into our food to find old fries and dried out, barely hot burgers. The best part about our time there was the fact that we were together as a family and the music that was playing over the speakers. We will not be going back to that Wendy's and I suggest whoever manages it to either hire new, more professional staff or retrain the current staff about the importance of professionalism and cleanliness. Even working in fast food means working hard and doing your best and the people who work in this particular location don't seem...
