Eat the Best Pizza 🍕
My wife and I have been wanting to try more pizza places in the area and came across Eat the Best Pizza on google. After seeing some of the pictures, we knew we had to try it out as the slices looked amazing.
The location surprised us being below street level, so definitely keep your eyes peeled if you're trying to find it. We thought it was cool being below the university bookstore. That way if you're eating there, you can go up and shop afterward.
We decided on trying a couple of different kinds to get a variety. My wife's favorite was the white pizza. It came with dollops of fresh ricotta on top, and she said it basically tasted like the best garlic cheese bread. It wasn't overly greasy, and the cheese was perfectly creamy and melty.
The plain cheese pizza was also delicious. The crust was just the right amount of chewy. This was the closest to New York style pizza we have found.
My wife also tried the buffalo and chicken and loved it. The hot sauce wasn't too spicy, but it still had a nice kick. The chicken was also pretty juicy for being out for a little bit.
The pepperoni was a nice classic. Again, it was not overly greasy, and it had a perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Would definitely get again.
We will definitely be going back to Eat the Best Pizza. We would love it if there was a closer location to us on the East side of Madison. The foldable slices were huge and a great deal for the amount of food that you're...
Read moreI came in here to read reviews and to leave one of my own- and i am surprised at certain things people have to say about this place and the food. I am a bit on the elderly side and i have been part of a kitchen and cooking my whole life and i have to admit- this pizza has great taste and perfect on the calorie size- very thin crust. The lady behind the counter is one of the hardest working mamas i have ever met- take a minute and talk to her while she heats up your slices and you will never stop coming here. It is a family owned and operated. Now what made the best part of my lunch was when a lady walked in with her kid asking quietly for a free slice. She did not just get one- she got two slices so mother and daughter were fed, they both got water and to top it off the owner gave the little girl some FroYo with sprinkles on top! The mom and daughter left the place so happy and well fed! So, if you are an IANs pizza fan- that is great, but please don’t show hate on this lady and her business- where she puts well over 100 hours a week and at 3:30am never says no to driving home few of those students who had just a bit to much to drink! The owner always drinks coffee and she will always offer you a cup as well. Even if you will not eat- at least stop and say hi to an amazing mother, business owner and...
Read moreEdit: In response to the reply from the owner. I was not offered it to be remade at all. They said they could offer a credit, however, as I explained I’m not from the area and did not plan to come back at all. Credit and remaking an order r two different things. The food made me sick after barely eating any…as pictured below. I have felt sick for the past two hours and the only thing I’ve had is this food. The guy on the phone was rude and had an attitude. When I contacted eats streets they said the establishment had to process the refund. When they had tried to call they said the store was unreachable and closed. I do not recommend here at all especially after reading other reviews and responses from the owner. No experience eating food should leave u feeling Ill and like their is a rock settled in ur stomach from how heavy it is.
Not scilian style for one also completely and the slices were undercooked and the garlic knots burnt. The order was cold, I don’t even think it was warmed up with how cold it was. When I called to get a refund the guy was completely rude and refused! 0/10 would recommend as it is not worth it all. Wasted my time and money that looks as if I won’t get back and felt sick after barely...
