I give this bar a one star and that is because of the horrible experience that I had with them. I was very polite to the bouncer but he denied me to the bar for zero reason. He provided no explanation to not let me in the bar. The person who was very disrespectful calling me vulgar language was friends with the bouncer and told him not to let me in. I am very disappointed that I was not not allowed to enter the bar especially since I was visiting Madison from out of town and wanted to check out the College Club. I would love to check out this bar some other time but at the moment I am sad to say that I do not recommend this bar to anyone due to this horrible experience. I hope things can change for the better and problems like this don’t occur more, but I feel like this is just one of many. This place has the most degenerate bouncers in the entire world. They act as though they are great at their job, yet are incapable of telling a real ID between a fake. My friend was forced to show 4 alternate forms of identification with her Massachusetts ID (she had literally just turned 21). Another friend had her ID and debit card confiscated by a bouncer who "didn't believe it was her" she ended up having to get the police involved. You should not be hired to work somewhere without proper training/ the ability to do your job properly. You will also have to wait in line for 30+mins AT LEAST on a slow day, and it's probably one of the least exciting bars on this campus. If you are from out of state be sure to have 4 or more alternate forms of identification on you because the bouncers are only capable of distinguishing what a real Wisconsin...

Perfect college bar! Exactly what you would expect a college bar to be. Fun and games! Popular with students during the week, and during summer break. VERY popular with alumni during WI Badgers games... Don't even try to get near it on football Saturdays unless you are an alum. Often you can get good seats at the stadium before the game from the bartenders who are selling tickets from customers that can't go... often at reduced prices. Great burgers and customary bat food. Pool, air hockey, and video games are there as well as great music. Decor is perfect. Yes, I'm biased since I practically lived there during my college years. They have a house drink called 'Grog'... green with a mix of a half dozen kinds of booze... the best! Go...
