This has been a random day and we ended up here. Let me begin by saying that this was not our first choice to eat but turned out to be a petty good. We ordered the White Fish Basket, the Steak Burger, and chicken livers and asparagus. Sooooooooo the burger was just ok- nothing really to write home about. The fish was fried well and fairly tasty! The chicken livers were EXCELLENT!!! Had a bit of an issue so the owner (Joe Breece👈🏽 VERY NICE FELLA) came out and spoke to us and made everything right! He gave us the history of the restaurant and how he came to own it and told us a bit about Madison… Siri says there are only 488 black ppl in the whole town…WOW…just an interesting fact. Perhaps not the most diverse place but we were treated very nicely! In the bar they have an area set up for a band and tonight is karaoke night ‼️ Definitely a thumbs up! Madison is a super quaint town and this is a fun place to be! Enjoy‼️

Stopped in for a very late lunch last Thursday, so a very slow time for them. Server was very nice, food was horrible. Hubby got the Whitefish Basket. Whitefish was pretty good. I got the Angus sliders and was very disappointed. Just very thin frozen burgers that were tasteless. I ordered cheese on them ($1 extra). Each slider had a 1/2 slice of cheese when they arrived. Bun was hard (stale?) on the top. Both baskets come with fries. The crinkle cut fries were hard, lukewarm at best and very small portion - about a handful. (I have small hands!). Ordered fried pickles to go for our daughter - she is obsessed with fried pickles. She ate a couple, said they were too spicy. Still in the fridge, guess they'll need tossed out. There went $13. Total: $47 or $48. Way better food at Culver's (actually tastes like good beef!) Hubby nailed it - said it was two stops in one - first and last time to eat there.

I rarely write reviews, but I went out to dinner with my family here, because I’ve been here a few times and enjoyed the food. But this time when we went, the manager served us our drinks and we seemed to be sitting there for around 15 minutes without a server. Someone else came over and asked if we would like any appetizers while we waited, and we ordered some coconut shrimp and tomatoes. The appetizers themselves took quite a while to come out, and the coconut shrimp was dark brown and had obviously been overcooked. When our server finally came to take our orders a bit after we got our appetizers, we politely sent it back, although we were told the shrimp usually looked like that and it wasn’t burnt. (After looking at photos on here of the shrimp, I can say for certain it doesn’t usually look dark brown). We finally ordered, and the food took a very long time to come out. The food could be comparable to cafeteria food, but the main problem was that all of our food was lukewarm, and had obviously been sitting out for 10 or 15 minutes before it was given to us. I don’t know if this was intentional because we sent the shrimp back, or because it was somehow forgotten about, but me and my family were very disappointed by this whole experience. Also, there was a server with blonde hair that seemed to be doing everything in the restaurant. We even had to ask her for our check, because once again our server was nowhere to be seen. I felt bad for her, and I hope the restaurant does better to accommodate their staff...

My husband and I went there on a Sunday around 6:30. We went to several other restaurants before we came across this one. We were not able to get into the other restaurants because we needed a reservation or the place was closed due to equipment problems. We sat at our table about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged we were there. They were not busy at all. There were only a few people in there. They walked by us but didn't even acknowledge we were there. At this point we should have left. When she finally made it to our table, I ordered a margarita. I could have made a pitcher of margarita's before my drink made it to the table. Our waitress walked by our table at least dozen times before she asked us what we wanted to order. The food took a long time to get to us. My husband ordered a glass of water and he drank all of it and had to go to the bar to get it a refill. When our food made it to us it was delicious. We ordered fish and fries. If you don't care about how long you have to wait to order and wait on your food, Or the rudeness of the staff this...

After riding all day we decided to stop in Madison to eat dinner before heading back home. Noticed Rivertown grill so we stopped in. First time being there didn’t really know much about it, so we walked in, there was no greeting, after standing by the bar for about 3-4 minutes with no acknowledgment I asked if we seat ourselves they said yes. Then the waitress came over about 10 min later asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered water and an appetizer. It took about 20 min to get our fried green tomatoes that were over cooked. Then we ordered our food a steak burger and sliders both dressed. It then took about 30 min for that and the sliders were not dressed and the hamburger Pattie’s looked like quarters on the buns, the steak burger looked like a regular hamburger with the bottom bun soaked in grease. The bill was $42 plus tax and a service charge which raised it to $46.02 they also charged us for sliders dressed but they weren’t dressed. The food wasn’t that good and the price was ridiculous. We were still hungry when we left! I...
