Shrewsbury-Windle House — Attraction in Madison

My husband & I, his sister, and our niece (visiting from Dublin, Ireland) had the pleasure of a private tour of Shrewsbury-Windle House by Gail Karns, Assistant Program Manager. We called the day before and had no issue booking a tour for the following day. The home is spectacular - beautifully and thoughtfully restored. The architectural details are gorgeous. The volunteer guide was very knowledgeable about the house, the architect (Costigan), the overall history of Madison and the preservation work on their historical properties. The upstairs in this home is dedicated to numerous artifacts that aren't really related to the house but are certainly interesting. The tour should probably be $5 instead of $10.
