Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Madison

We, my husband and I, love this place! It’s honestly hard to find a straight forward and good Chicken Teriyaki in Madison/surrounding areas (We live in Middleton). So this place is perfect for it. The price is more than reasonable for the amount of food you get, it’s hot and delicious, and fresh due to the high volume of orders they are making.

The veggies, the chicken, rice and sauce- yum! Plus it makes great leftovers, which I almost always have if I get my own order. A lot of times, my husband and I will split an order if we want to save money. It’s the perfect, not too heavy dinner or lunch.

I will say one thing, and that is that you have to like dark meat chicken because I believe they use chicken thighs. Not a problem to me, but I know some people prefer white meat chicken.

They also have a punch card system, so after every 6 you get a freebie- we just cashed one in yesterday!

The staff is friendly, quick, and I like how you get to watch them make the food.

Overall, this place is perfect for a a chicken teriyaki craving… definitely worth a try! There is a location in each of the malls here in Madison,...

So I ordered a teriyaki chicken and extra chicken extra sauce yesterday. If I had the option of adding a pictures to this review I would because it would show you that the rice is completely plain there's no sauce at all let alone extra sauce. I did get the extra chicken which is good because I was charged for that but if you give your customer the option of extra sauce give it to them and give them the sauce that it comes with to begin with. I tried calling several times and the phone number comes up on my phone and then it just hangs up, call ended. I tried calling the West side location and that one went to a fax machine so they just ignore their customers they don't take any phone calls at all. You can't message them on Facebook either.

UPDATE: I did find a way to contact them online and they were very responsive. Gave me a $5 coupon! Nice...

I don't know why that cashier works very fast I think she thinks that other restaurants are going to steal that customers.. so this happens to me I order a chicken and shrimp teriyaki and a chicken egg roll. So she ask me if I want a meal she just point to a flyer that is on that top of the courner so I don't have chance to read what it was including. So I paid. And that like after 3 minutes I asked her if I can't get that and I paid that difference 40 cents so she said NO I try to explain her and she don't understand she just said ok u want soda you paid 2 dollars.. I explain her like 3 times that I just paid her my food and I wondering if I can get that meal and paid that remaining balance. So she said no.. u already order u cannot order that.. I...
