We stopped by here first when I was looking to replace my wedding ring that I had lost (I am that guy, I know! The lost ring was recently found and returned though) I only wanted a simple classic gold wedding band. I was greeted by a very friendly and charismatic individual named Peter. He showed me exactly what I was looking for and assured me that the rings I was in the market for that Kay's had the best price around and he had even just scoped out the jewelry store across the way and the very ring I was looking at they were selling for $200 more. It didn't even cross my mind that he might not be telling me the truth.
Maybe because what I was looking for was so straight forward that the thought of someone not being straight with me about it was the reason I never doubted the information Peter had given me. I don't know because I am usually not so trusting. Peter was so believable that I even pushed back on the idea of walking the 30ft across the "to just see" when my wife presented it .
After a couple of minutes I agreed to check out Rogers & Holland and was once again met with a very kind and charming woman who showed me the same exact ring that was priced $200 less than Kay jewelers! I felt incredibly embarrassed about how naive I was by believing that Peter surely wouldn't sell his integrity for something as little as a commission of it simple gold ring. I also felt very fortunate to have a smart wife who looks out for me.
Now I don't know what sort of ethics anyone else who works here has, but Peter is a master in manipulation and knows how to make you trust him and feel good and safe while lying and not truly giving customer service but it's really only self service that is his goal. Getting what he wants which is the most money he possibly can without you seeing that's his sole goal and Peter won't let ethics or integrity hinder him in order to achieve it.
I am willing to pay a little more if a place has great customer service (Honestly cares), is honest and upfront with me, etc. If you aren't offering a better price than make it up by being better at things that will make people come to you because you have raised the bar and develop a reputation that people trust. Be better than the rest of the competition is the only sustainable way to do it in my opinion.

Called and called checking the status to see if it was available for pickup yet only to call late February and find out that they canceled the order back in January after I had already paid a $100 deposit on it. Called to speak with the manager to figure things out and he just kept giving excuses of him being confused and saying he would reach back out to me within a week. Another month goes by and I am furious. Never got a call back no nothing. I call to speak with the same manager who admits to “forgetting” to call me back and offers to give me a in store refund and gift card for the trouble. Says to just stop it and it will be up front waiting for me to pickup. I go in today, tell the sales rep the managers name and that he said I could just stop in for the refund. Without her even turning around to check for the receipt she immediately says no! There is no note about a refund for anything you will have to come back another day when a manager is in. I then asked her if she could just check the desk area that is where he told me he would leave it and she replied “look there is nothing I can do for you, you can get mad all you want but I am not doing anything!” Their service sucks and staff are extremely unprofessional.    Read moreI am so absolutely disgusted by this place. My husband had a custom made engagement ring made for me this spring. The manager of the store told my husband he would get a $1000 discount for having it made or whatever(I obviously wasn't there to hear this conversation directly). They screwed up his order 3 times, then the manager got pissy with him because he said he couldn't come in within the week to deal with the discount because we were out of town taking care of his sick mother(who died a month later). Guy said fine, come in when you get back. We went in and guy said he was going to do the discount. We get a call a couple months later saying we were late on payments and the guy never gave him the discount. He set up automatic payments with them 4 times! They have been calling saying we are late. WELL last week my husband got a call saying we were $1000 behind in payments. so he of course made the payment and told them he set up auto pay multiple times and they told him that he didn't. I went to to check my bank account because I swore that I have seen their name on my statement...They HAVE been taking our payments!!! AND THEY ARE SAYING WE AREN'T PAYING! I am so absolutely disgusted and mad at this horrible company! What a scam these people are. I wish we would have went with a totally different company...
