Wings Etc. — Restaurant in Madisonville

As a family of five, we intentionally choose eateries with quick service and a calm atmosphere to accommodate our small children. To our surprise, despite the restaurant being relatively empty, we endured a lengthy wait of over an hour for our food. Observing others who were seated after us receive their meals before us only added to our frustration.

Upon flagging down our server for drink refills, he mentioned that some of our order was ready but not all. When our food finally arrived, the boneless wings I ordered were overly tough and resembled offcuts rather than proper wings. Additionally, the applesauce my son requested turned out to be cinnamon-flavored, which posed a serious risk due to his allergy. Consequently, my husband had to administer his epi-pen outside as we were still waiting for the bill and drink refills, which were nowhere in sight.

Seeking a resolution, I requested to speak with a manager, only to be informed that she was occupied with an interview and promptly handed my check totaling $101. Upon sharing our numerous grievances with the manager, she defensively responded that they can only serve what they are given, referencing the poor quality of the wings. Despite my efforts to illustrate the issues we faced, including cold food and the emergency with my son's allergy, the manager begrudgingly offered a mere $18 deduction.

Expressing my confusion over being charged for an extra drink and the manager's denial of our kids' meals, I was met with accusations of dishonesty. The disbelief and disrespect shown by the manager left me feeling upset and disrespected. As I settled the bill, I requested contact information for the restaurant, only to be curtly informed to search for it online.

Regrettably, this experience has left a lasting impression, and we have decided never to return to this establishment. Despite spending $81, we were left dissatisfied and still needing to find a suitable place to feed...

Edit to add. Came back on Feb 28, 2023 to give it another shot per the request of the manager below. Horrible. Nothing has changed service wise. Waiter was dismissive and acted like we were an inconvenience. Walked away mid sentence, twice. Asked to talk to the manager and was told she was busy behind the grill. Manager was visibly annoyed that she had to come out to talk to us. We explained what was going on and she would not acknowledge the issue, just that they were busy, said he's been a waiter for years and this and that. We ended up leaving. On the way out, the table next to us said they were getting the same vibe from him so it wasn't just us.

Placed an order to go, just so everyone knows, you pick those up at the bar. But not the end of the bar closest to the door, no. You go to the other end of the bar where the bartender and manager and standing there talking and ignoring you. Once you have your food, GTFO. Don't get thanked for choosing them and don't get told to have a nice day. Just take your food and leave.

Not good. Sucks that the wings are so good and that there aren't...

I emailed you like you asked but you didn't reply so here's a copy of that email. Hi Michelle, We recently dined in your Madisonville location. I left a 3 star review and you replied asking for details so that's why I'm writing you. We ordered a few different types of wings as well as a couple other things but the wings were the majority of the order. As we were walking in I noticed a sign on the wall stating "Our competitors have started using stainless utensils for their wings" or something like that and there is a picture of a pair of tweezers. This is obviously making fun of your competitors and their small wings which of course led me to believe I was going to get some nice(full sized) wings at your restaurant. This was very much not the case. Wings were small and crunchy(overcooked). We were also charged for the blue cheese and ranch dressings we got with them. When we asked what the charge was on the bill our waitress explained that since the wings were on sale, the sauces aren't included. That's not how a "sale" works.
