We ordered at 8pm or a little after on Sunday. I don’t know what happened, but birria tacos sucked. They’re dry and tasteless. The chips were stale the queso was awful. The salsa smelled like rotten fish. Probably old. Did the food come out of oven like this or did you people make it turn awful because we ordered after eight and you close at nine? . When the sign says closes at 9 it means you people keep doing your jobs at your best effort until the place closes. I’m sorry if you had already shut things down I’m sorry you had put the lousy food away. I’m sorry if you were hoping to get home early. Truth of the matter is I’m not sorry at all. Do your job. Management, make them do all of their job to closing. Or get a new cook. Or close down. When I’m done puking up your spoiled food I’ll bring you some and maybe you can reheat for next sundays late ordering customer. Get better or get out of town. You are way too expensive to compete with the great Mexican restaurants RANCHO GRANDE ON fm 1488 and LAS FUENTES ALSO ON fm 1488. Both in MAGNOLIA. THEY HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS WITH THE VERY BEST FOOD IN THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY AREA. THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED BUT THE QUALITY PUTS YOUR SPOILED FOOD TO SHAME. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT I HAVE BECOME ILL AFTER EATING AT YOUR HIGH RENT LOW STATUS GREASEY SPOON OF A RESTAURANT ! To the two greats of fine Mexican dinning, I’m sorry I stepped out on you. It will not happen again. For thirty years that we have lived here RANCHO GRANDE AND LAS FUENTES have always had a table ready for anyone in a very short time. GOOD FOOD AND...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews, whether positive or negative, but I felt like I have to share my experience. When we entered the restaurant, we were not greeted at all. After we sat down, one of the waitresses approached us with the menu. She was friendly and nice. If I recall correctly, she was wearing red lipstick and had a slight limp. I have no complaints about her service. The second waitress who took our order and served our food and drinks was a different story. She lacked any sense of customer service and was extremely rude. I felt rushed and as if I were a bother to her. The waitress was wearing glasses, and her tone of voice was extremely rude. I was also very dissatisfied with the portion sizes of the food. If I'm paying for something, I expect to receive what I paid for. The rice was not even that good. I could have overlooked the poor service, but the food was subpar, and the portions were quite small. I almost paid $50 for two meals that looked like kids' meals. I usually don't even finish my meals, which says a lot. When I go to other Mexican restaurants, I usually pay $60 to $70 for what I receive, and I never complain. The waitress didn't even ask for my ID to serve me alcohol. She seemed more concerned with getting us in and out of the restaurant quickly. While I wouldn't typically mind this, the way she treated us was extremely rude and...
Read moreStopped in to try for the first time today, we got the birria tacos, the rice, and some elote, oh and margaritas. The elote was good, the margaritas were strong, but had a strong margarita mix taste, the rice was suuuper moist, but a little bland. Great price on birria, most places charge like $18 for the plate, they were more reasonable at $14, the tortillas was so crispy, and a generous amount of cheese. One taco was perfect, the second taco had a small chunk of fat in it, and my third taco was probably 80% fat chunks. (Pictured below) I let the waitress know, she came back with a replacement taco that was loaded with meat, I picked through because I'm particular about my food and didn't find a speck of fat in it at all. (Also pictured below!) Everyone we spoke to was super nice, the service was fantastic. This place is pretty good for the magnolia area, definitely better than Las Fuentes and Blue Iguana. When I am craving birria this is...
