El Kiosko (Magnolia) — Restaurant in Magnolia

Oh man, we went through their drive through last week before 9. Google says they close at 9:30, but they actually close at 9. Our bad, I guess? I don't like being that person that shows up 10 minutes before close. Anyway, they only had one person working the store and she didn't really speak English. It took a long while for us to get our ice cream. We weren't upset by the wait. I felt bad because she was by herself. But we got tired of idling in the drive through and staring at the roaches gathering on the windowsill, so we decided to park and wait in the dining room.

There was a whole family in there. They told us it was closed and didn't let us in despite the fact we had an order in process. The kids actually stood pushing against the door as if to fortify it which was very offputting, and we were just kinda stood there wondering if the single employee was intending to get us our ice cream or if she just forgot about us. Suuuuuuper awkward.

I wanted mango de aqua with a cone and the girl said I could only order mango ice cream in a cup. I asked why and she said that’s how they do it. I asked why I couldn’t order mango with a cone. She said they don’t do that. I said but that’s what I want. I asked if she could charge me for the ice cream and the cone. She straight up told me no. I told her I didn’t understand why I couldn’t order what I wanted. Why is it difficult to put ice cream de aqua in a cone? I understand it melts but guess what, I’m going to eat it. I walked out without anything. I was very disappointed because that’s all I wanted. An ice cream cone. I’ve been here a few times and the one in Conroe and I love giving them business but gotta say, I likely won’t be back. The girl at the counter wouldn’t budge. This place was good when they first opened up, but everytime i go now they are out of my favorite aqua frescas, and not just once but multiple times over the past couple months. The ice cream was totally gone as well on one occasion which is weird so i was wondering what they were serving, no ice cream only a couple aqua fresca choices. Service was ok but not as friendly as they once were when they first opened up. We have stopped going because it is a disappointment from the original fully stocked happy kind service with the frequent buyer bonus coupon stamp cards they now say do not work for this location. Which i got from this location to begin with.

Would not reccomend if you want full selection of aqua frescas, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. I would get a trole but they are way to expensive for flavored ice so we will not be...
