UPDATED FROM 3 STARS TO 4. The owner Greg really put in the effort and care to make our experience better. When he made the calzone it was perfection. Unfortunately, we decided to go on a weekend this time, and they cooked all the spinach IN the calzone instead of before, so his calzone was soggy. We give up on the calzone. We really love this place...but because of the inconsistencies with how his calzones tune out, we're going to take a break from here for now. The difference between perfection and soggyness was less than 2 weeks. Although we always order the same thing, we know its not a popular dish people order, so I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen with how it turns out. The owner genuinely cares, and I'm sure that if you order anything other than a spinach and meatball calzone, you'll really enjoy this place UPDATED REVIEW FROM 5 STARS TO 3 STARS. This is so upsetting for us, because this restaurant is a part of our history, and both of us have incredible and fond memories of this place. But this last visit this evening I believe warranted an updated review. He always gets their spinach and meatball calzone, and it used to always be packed full of spinach and meatballs. I made the order with a manager this evening over the phone and he assured me that the calzone would be up to the standards that it used to be and would not be a chintzy amount of fillings. I've attached photos of how the calzone actually turned out...which was a few pieces of spinach and a little bit of meatball. But for the additional $5 to add those toppings, which makes that calzone just shy of $20, it was a bit if a disappointment. And what's even crazier is the side ceasar salad is $8...but the ceasar salad in the premade box is $7 and over twice the size of the $8 one! That makes no sense whatsoever! They also increased their slices of coconut cake from $6 to $8.50, as well as upped the prices on all the deserts. They used to put heart and effort into their food. I know that they were incredibly busy, but we love this place so much, and to get a promise that the calzone would be packed with the fillings, but have it be nowhere close to how I was informed that it would...we were just very disappointed. This is the third time that hes ordered this and they skimped on the ingredients. I hope that they address these issues, otherwise, one of our favorite restaurants, and longstanding family traditions of eating here will no longer be in the cards for us...which would be just heartbreaking for me. Photos of calzone included in this post **ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW** We have been coming here for years. My Nana and I used to eat downstairs all the time. Now, my hubby and I order takeout from here constantly. Now we found out that we can make our own pizzas at home with their products! YAY! We are so excited to try it! PS...they have vodka in skulls for sale right now! HOORAAAY!

EDIT to initial review!!! 5 STARSš„³š„³š„³š„³ Just wanted to do an edit of my review for Antonio's. The GM of the restaurant reached out to me and offered to make things right with the restaurant's Chipotle Shrimp Fettuccine dish and I accepted. He said I was the first person to ever call back. He also explained what had happened with the dish I ordered and how spicy it was. They corrected the amount of spice and let me tell you, IT IS SO AMAZING! It is the right amount and gives it just enough heat. The shrimp, mushrooms, sauce.... it was just perfect! I ate the whole thing this time!! They didn't charge me for my dinner this time around. They did a phenomenal job at making things right with one of their customers. I highly recommend when an establishment wants to get in touch and try to make things right, give them a call! Antonio's read my review and figured out the problem with the dish, corrected it, and made it taste so freaking good and invited me to try them again. I'm so glad I did! Mr. Gentile, thank you so much for reaching out! I truly enjoyed speaking with you and enjoyed everything I ordered! You have a very quaint marketplace and eatery. Kudos to you and your staff!ā¤ļø Wanted to get some Italian food and ordered the Smokey Chipotle shrimp with fettuccine. Do not order this dish unless you like to feel the heat from the spice and not taste the food. The waiter said it was a hot dish, and I asked how hot it burned your mouth and he said no but everyone's level of heat is different. Ours was not on the same page. I ordered milk, and even still, it didn't help. Sadly, I only had 3 bites of it. The waiter offered me dessert, so I had the spumoni.. that was good and helped take the heat out of my mouth. He didn't charge me for the dessert, but I got charged for the dinner. This dish would have been amazing if it didn't have all the excessive spice that made it unbearable for someone like myself to eat. The service was good and the atmosphere was too. We ate in the downstairs portion of the restaurant. Which was more like a cafe/bistro. Really cute place with sauces, food, and chocolates to buy. If I go back, I know what not to order

This was my first time visiting this restaurant but I will definitely come back! I came because of magical dining with my boyfriend. For appetizers we had the roasted eggplant and tomato caprese and the fried calamari. Both were great! The fried calamari was very tender yet the batter was nice and crisp and the dipping sauce was very flavorful. I only tried a bite of the fried eggplant as it was my boyfriend's order but it was very fresh and it was on a nice olive oil sauce. For our entrees, he had the ny strip and I had the fresh fish of the day which was tripletail. The steak was a great portions and cook very well and nice side of flavorful mashed potatoes and green beans. My dish was amazing. The fish had a smoked flavor and was very tender. The roasted potatoes that came with it were so delicious that I tried to get the recipe before I left! Lol It also came with fresh sliced cherry tomatoes and cucumbers on a delicious sauce, olive oil meets ranch flavor? Then for dessert we had an order of each of the dessert items. The valentino was perfectly portioned for one person, it was rich with a dark cacao flavor and raspberry drizzle. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had! The espresso and liquor flavors were perfectly balanced, neither overpowering the other. And the mascarpone was incredible!! You could taste how fresh the cream was. Honestly, it was heavenly. Still dreaming about it as i type this lol Of course our service was great as well. Our server Alex was very helpful with recommendations and had the perfect amount of attentiveness. All in all, truly a five-star experience. Were the prices expensive? Sure. But is it worth it? Absolutely!

We had a wonderful time here on Valentineās Day with a prix fixe menu! Prices were $54-69 for a three-course meal that was DELICIOUS! The New York strip was slow cooked over a fire, served medium rare, giving it a wonderful smoked flavor and it was soooo tender! It must have been at least 3 inches thick - to die for! It was almost like eating prime rib. Yum. My wife ordered the lobster fettuccini with a delectable ragu. You could tell the sauce and pasta were all freshly made, and most importantly, they didnāt skimp on the lobster! Amazingly generous. We had an artichoke salad, the artichokes again were smoked over the fire and delicious. The Caesar salad was also great. We were even surprised by the chocolate covered strawberries because unlike most places, the chocolate was nice and soft around the strawberries and made it even more delicious. It was served with a creamy, delicious vanilla ice cream. The restaurant is a very large space with plenty of room for large parties or intimate dining. It was a beautiful setting with excellent service. Even not a busy night like Valentineās Day. We look forward to returning. Most importantly regarding the restaurant, I want to point out that I saw someone leave a review saying the portions were extremely small and there was no room in the dining area because tables were cluttered together. This is completely false. You can take a look at my photos and see the expansive size of the upstairs and the generous portion sizes. I donāt think we couldāve eaten anything bigger than what they served us, which was quite frankly perfect.

Visited Antonio's in the upstairs restaurant - They have a Cafe and Italian market downstairs - and we did enjoy our dinner. They serve toasted and lightly seasoned bread with an olive oil dip. The bread has a dense and chewy inside with a very crunchy crust. Personally felt the crust was a bit too crunchy. We started with Caesar salads. At $11, it was no different than a Caesar salad you'd find elsewhere. The dressing was different - thinner, and more tangy than a creamy Caesar - but the portion, flavor, or embellishments didn't justify the $11 price to me. HOWEVER, their prices of entrees felt very affordable for the quality and portion sizes. To the point where it was almost a shock given the reputation of this restaurant. The entrees were phenomenal. We both loved our meals, I had the pappardelle with salmon on cream sauce, she had the chicken piccata extra capers served over pasta instead of with vegetable and potatos. Well prepared, plated beautifully. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Most places overcook the salmon before plating - and this was spot on. I'd absolutely recommend Antonio's. 4 star because the decor and ambiance didn't feel more upscale. It's nice. It's comparable to another local Italian spot we eat at (except the chairs are definitely more comfortable and easier to sit in at Antonio's). Considering the food quality, spot near the lake, and the fact that there is a downstairs Cafe, I just expected more intimacy and ambiance in the dining area. But don't let that say bad. Just kinda... let down? We'll be back, for sure!

Update: Antonio's has became our regular place for Italian. Atmosphere and food are top notch but lately our service and the blatant price gouging has turned us away. A six dollar up charge on swapping sauces on Parmesan chicken is beyond ridiculous. We always get an appetizer, entrees, drinks, and desert. My lasagna didn't taste fresh, tasted like it was a frozen and reheated. Quality seems to have fallen in the last couple of months. Previous review:5 stars Our lunch was wonderful, the atmosphere the story the deli, and the market, and restaurant all rolled into one. Our server was on point and very polite and made us very welcome to be there and helped our experience along by guiding us through the menu and the history behind Antonio's, I cannot for the life of me remember her name but I remember she said she is from Maitland and had been eating there for most of her life. We got garlic bread to start and it was what you wanted from cheesy garlic bread, for lunch I tried the lasagna which as a chef and foody I would consider it in my top 3 lasagne I've had. The girlfriend said the same about her parm chicken. We opted for desert and I had the tiramusu while the girlfriend had cake. The server enlightened us that the cake isn't made in house but from a manufacturer that they've been using for years. The tiramusu was probably the best I've had and the girlfriend loves her chocolate cake and said it tastes homemade, so big win. We live about 40/45 minutes away but we'll be back.
