No stars. I ordered iced tea and was brought water. Our waitress apologized and got me what I ordered. We took our Grandchildren to Friendlys tonight because it was the youngest grandson's pick. He is 6 and wanted SHARK IN THE WATER...cause it's the coolest drink. Big glass blue soda and gummy sharks. You get a side of cherry syrup to pour into it to make it look like blood....the syrup wasn't served so I asked the waitress for it. She said 'it doesn't come with that. Ive never heard of that. We don't serve it like that here.' I explained to her, showed her the picture, and read her the description. She was confused and said she would get it for the three boys. Next. We waited for some time for our food. 2 gentleman next to our table came in far later than us and received PopPop's double bacon cheeseburger and my Fishamagig sandwich. We waited several more minutes and voila we were served. Our 13 year old Grandson got the chicken tender combo in which he received what looked like 3 nuggets. I asked the waitress and she said yes, that's correct it comes with 4 tenders. So I held it up for her and she went to the back and brought another out. Our youngest got the children's sliders which were iced Cole. Pop Pop didn't get his double, but a single. Our 14 year old Grandson got the clam strip platter and liked it. Our bill was 63.00. Wow. I loved Friendly's as a kid. I hate to complain about anything really...especially in front of the kids. Extremely disappointed and sad to say tonight was our last try to once again make Friendly's a regular treat. P.S. the waitress did go to get the manager, but he/she never bothered. The waitress...

Generally, we had the experience you'd expect from a sit-down, casual dining place of this type. Let's do some details!

Seating: Our host had us at a table within minutes. We asked for a slightly different arrangement, and he obliged. Thanks!

Section: We were a 6-top. The table beside was a 9-top. A family of 5 was behind us. A single and a double rounded out the room... all for one server! 20+ patrons with 10+ kids. (Shout out to Mason!)

Selection: What a fun and varied menu! Something for everyone. Everything from "fish and chips" to "Teriyaki chicken bowl" was on the table.

Service: Timely delivery of lukewarm food. Not a deal breaker; we know what we're getting in to at Friendly's. French fries though... they MUST be hot and crispy, or you should just throw them away. Our fries would have been better served to the dumpster.

Lobster bisque. 😬 I shouldn't have gotten seafood there. That one is my fault. I know better. It was runny and unflavored. No real lobster to speak of. I was curious so you don't have to be!

For the most part, the food was good and the servings were hefty.

The finale was ice cream. That, in fact, was the real reason we went there. They've added malted vanilla milkshakes. Winner! The sundaes and scoops were portioned and made well.

TL;DR - Go for the ice cream and shakes, not the seafood or fries. Sit in Mason's...

I was told by the person who sat us at the table and by our waitress that we would get a free medium ice cream sunday if I downloaded the app and scanned the code. I downloaded the app, took 5-10 minutes sign-up for the app, and then scanned the code.

I ordered a Sunday that I didn't even really want just because it was free. Well, it cost me money and I assumed it was a mistake. The manager then came out and kindly explained that I was promised a free sunday. She told me that I have to earn points to get my free Sunday and did not care one bit about two employees telling me the wrong information!

This is deceitful and false advertising. I specifically asked before ordering an ice cream sunday if I got one free and the waitress said YES and just to give her the code from the app.

Since we had the one ice cream for free, we also ordered another one so our four kids and both of us could all have ice cream together. The manager came out and talked to us, I explained to her, but she didn't care. It basically cost me an extra $12 on an already $70'ish bill.

The food was good, not great. My 1 star is for the poor experience of being lied to. A decent manager would have refunded the "free" sunday that I had to pay for. Totally ridiculous and that $7 has cost them my business...

First off I was met by being told they only seating at 50% capacity and they only had two server's working. Then they served a hamburger that waitress said I could order any way I want, but the cook will only do well done. At $12 for a hamburger, you should be able to order any way you want, but not at Friendly's. The special was with that hamburger you could get a small Sunday for $1 more. But, for $1.99 you could upgrade to a medium Sunday, which I did. Medium Sunday is one scoop of ice cream, how little of ice cream comes in a small Sunday. Never was asked if I wanted a drink refill. Never was asked if I wanted anything else. The bill was slammed down on table and I was told "pay upfront", so that ended my meal time. Too tired to argue.

Applesauce was spilled all over (they offered to replace it but then never brought out the replacement). All the chicken tenders were overcooked including the ones on the bbq chicken super melts. I was charged for four “extra” dipping sauces (we only asked for two, but they brought out 4....and they weren’t “extra” it was the only sauce we had between all 5 of our meals including 2 chicken tender meals) They did take the sauces off the bill upon request, but it was a hassle for them to do it, and I shouldn’t have been charged in the first place. Server and staff were all very friendly and other than the overcooked tenders, the food tasted good. Place was nice and clean with the exception of the waiting benches.
