Ramada by Wyndham York Harrisburg Hershey — Hotel in Manchester Township

I actually had a very decent time here for the price. My mother was in the York hospital, and this was the closest and cheapest inn with breakfast included. Receptionists were very polite and courteous. If there were any issues, it was with the rude patrons being disrespectful to the staff. (I.e. a cranky old man slamming around the waffle iron and yelling at the staff at the desk from across the room. She remained calm and answered his questions.. however, management needs to look at the footage and ban him for his disrespect to the receptionist and to the waffle equipment.)Obviously, some are here because they don't have somewhere to go. Because they have a miserable life, they have to make others miserable.

The rooms appeared clean at first. However except, on further inspection the floors hadn't been swept. It just concerns me; because, then you cant help but wonder what else isn't genuinely clean like the bedding. It did smell clean, so I will just assume it is for my own sanity. The air conditioning was great. I had a fridge and a microwave in the room. The shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and lotion was Dove brand cucumber scented which I loved. The showers were large, with no useless tub to climb over. Although, the bottom of the showers were a bit stained, and possible mold growth in the drain such as the pictures shown. I always bring shower shoes anyways, so whatever. TV was a decent size screen, and the side tables have USB ports with additional pug-ins for a laptop. I also had a hair dryer too, and a few hangers to hang stuff up. They also have a lighted large mirror that is really useful for makeup. Also, as a woman staying alone, it was nice to have an added lock for security so even if someone who works here couldn't get in without me unlocking it. Just pleaseeee READ the reviews first!! DO NOT STAY HERE unless you are homeless and have no where to go. Looked nice from the hotel app but never thought of looking here until it was too late. Homeless druggies hanging out in the front of the building and they were letting them pile their stuff inside where the lobby is. People hanging out all around the building all night, doing drugs in the parking lot and going in and out of the place at all times slamming doors non stop. This is a longterm living facility for alot of people, reminds me of a halfway house. The staff doesnt care, they are welcoming them to hangout in the front lobby. Thats just the tip, absolutely no where to park, elevator is nasty and sketchy as can be. The doors dont want to latch at all, rooms have a musty smell and the bathtub was gross. There was also hairs in the bed, stains on the blankets, Ramada or Wyndham whoever is backing this place has obviously not ever stepped foot in here. They need to step in and remove their name from this place as it is giving people a false sense of it being a nice hotel. This is exactly why I will never pay for a cheaper hotel again, I stayed in sketchy motels alongside the road in the middle of no where that were way cleaner. I've been staying here with my son since Thanksgiving and everything was good until right before Christmas and we have been getting overcharged and paying different amounts ever since. My son paid for 3 days on Saturday 1-4-25 and he was charged around $255 which is fine ($85 a night.)Today is Monday and I payed for 4 more days and I was charged $421.80 which is over $100 a night. It didn't occur to me just how much I had been over charged until I got to my room and I went back down and asked the receptionist how much the room is a night and he said $85 and some change after taxes. $86 x 4 is $344 and I would have figured that out right away and told him to forget it and went to a different motel tomorrow if I hadn't suffered a traumatic brain injury which only makes me a little slower than I used to be and I'm starting to think I've given the impression that I'm not very intelligent because it and taken advantage of. I don't know why this is happening and when I ask I'm getting answers that don't make sense. I would have given a better review before this started happening but this is unacceptable.
