Stayed here August of 2023, and noticed I gave it two stars upon initial review - this was a mistake that I edited. I still get sick when I think about this place.
I hate to write a derogatory review about a small(ish) town business, but it needs to be done; it must be revealed what someone can expect by staying at this hotel.
It should be known that this business resides in the heart of an opioid-riddled town. They charge around $100.00 a night (perhaps my mistake was thinking $100.00 would buy value in a poverty-riddled area - clearly not in this economy). With any luck, the GM/Owner will view this post and rectify the issues.
In a line of two people, it took 20 minutes to check in. The staff member was friendly and clearly flustered. Perhaps poor IT systems were to be blamed.... regardless, I must report that the staff member was incompetent.
The curtains in the rooms are thin and white and can be seen through. The next layer of curtains that would provide a degree of privacy are fixed into place and cannot be closed. This is especially an issue when you are sitting level with the parking lot or wish to block light.
The WIFI was insecure and dropped multiple times for extended periods throughout my stay.
Conditioner was provided but not shampoo? Whether a quality control issue or by design, definitely a problem.
The walls are paper thin. I listened to people conversing and TVs blasting all night. Disgusting.
While falling asleep, I thought to myself... At least the bed is comfortable. Then I woke up a few hours later and had to get out of bed to stretch my back.
This may be the worst. Upon waking up the next morning, there was half of a dead cricket on the floor (not there the night before). Upon turning off the master light when leaving the room, there was a 4-inch house centipede on the wall next to the switch.
On positive notes, the coffee I grabbed upon departure was solid and the A/C worked great.
This was arguably the very worst hotel I have stayed in, and without question the worst value I have ever experienced. To summarize, I have seen better hotels in poverty-riddled areas of third...
Read moreOnly good thing about this hotel is close proximity to York fair grounds. Everything else is not great. First off we booked because of the pool and it doesn’t exist and we were informed after we paid. We booked and paid through Expedia. There was a deposit and I was aware and they had a card to charge. There was an issue with my card as they tried pushing through the deposit multiple times to the point that my bank froze my card for suspected fraudulent activity. This didn’t stop them though! They kept trying! When they called me FOUR TIMES throughout the day while traveling and they were rude but I explained I’m at the wheel and I’ll update the card when I get there. They said okay each time but continued to try and charge the same card. They even went as far as to call me back to back during an event I was at. I spoke with the night person when we got there and he wasn’t very friendly but told me to speak to the GM in the morning. He wasn’t very friendly able to put the deposit on our other card and we went to our room. I took a video of the room as we got there because this is just something I do - but the carpets are gross, the bedding stained, tile in the bathroom wobbly because they aren’t put in properly, dresser doesn’t close properly, bathroom is gross. The next morning hours before check out I’m getting multiple emails asking when I’m checking out. We still have 4 hours before check out! I went down to check out and the Gm instantly rude. It’s clear they spoke about me that morning at shift change (I have a lot of tattoos it’s easy for them to describe me). The Gm spoke over me, told me repeatedly I was wrong about them trying multiple times to charge the deposit (but then says they did in fact try many times). I was trying to offer feedback that their customer service was not great and this guy is just proving they don’t know what good customer service is. Talking over people and arguing them? Come on. This entire stay was a headache and I’ll...
Read moreI would like to express my disappointment with your establishment!
I reserved a total of 7 double rooms for our tournament this weekend prior to our arrival. The night manager, Matt Plata was extremely rude, impatient and severely under qualified. He had difficulties locating the reservation and became more and more aggravated when dealing with the customer. I had to go to the desk and show him on my phone that they really did have a room reserved. After a lot of headache and wasted time he was finally able to locate a room for them. However, I still ended up with a disappointed member of my organization who was given a room with a king bed since the double I originally reserved for them was no longer available. To add insult to injury, they received a cot free of charge which still isn't acceptable as that is not what was booked. The room was filthy, there was red mold growing on the shower walls, crumbs on the carpet and even more disturbing blood on the comforter. We documented all of this and contacted the front desk who sent someone to clean it up.
The cleanliness of your establishment is not up to the standards of what Wyndham advertises. We checked in Friday, I took a shower and left out for my event and upon my return my room had not been cleaned. I spoke with the staff around 9 am on my way to breakfast regarding clean towels, the stated they didn't have any clean towels. I returned around 11 pm expecting my room to be cleaned and still no towels. I went to the front desk again and to my surprise I was told there were no clean towels in the entire hotel. I could not believe that fir all the money it costs to stay in this hotel I couldn't get a clean towel. That is just unacceptable! I finally demanded they produce a towel, they give me one which I had to share with my teenage daughter. Mind you there were clean towels in the pool area which was locked and no one could seem to...
