Went to Manchester Culvers yesterday and ordered quite a bit of food. When the young man brought the order I noticed the flavor of the day ice cream I ordered was missing. I told him I was missing the ice cream at which point he spoke with another crew member and told her I "wanted" the ice cream not that I purchased it and didn't receive it. He then proceeded to take other orders to other customers, never came back. Totally ignored me. The young lady he spoke with followed suit didn't acknowledge me at all. She told him "whatever" and proceeded to take other orders. Mind you it's 7 or 8 kids behind the counter everyone is just standing around talking amoungst themselves trying not to make eye contact. Finally a 3rd crew member asks me if I needed help. I expressed to hear I received the order and the flavor of the day ice cream was missing, while I'm pointing to the menu she looks at the receipt and states this says vanilla, you ordered vanilla like I don't know how to read. I said I did not order vanilla I ordered the flavor of the day and I am still pointing to the menu. The young lady who took my order came looked at the receipt, confirmed I did in fact order the flavor of the day, apologies for the mistake and immediately proceeded to get the ice cream. The young lady who implied I can't read shrugged her shoulders and was like whatever and walked away. Unbelievable. Not only do I have a problem with how they matter was handled and how I was ignored and called a liar I would like to know what Culver's processes are as it applies to double checking an order prior to handing it off to...
Read moreThe food is not the problem, it's this location. Although the staff is friendly enough, and the managers do try their best to fix any issues, going through the drive thru my order is almost always wrong. They have a very hard time differentiating between what a scoop of custard is and what a bowl is. Twice within a month I've tried to order a single bowl with multiple scoops of custard, and both times the staff has been confused and given me multiple separate bowls, overcharging me for multiple orders (which there is a price discrepancy for). The first time I was mailed a coupon for a free meal to compensate, which was fine enough. The second time, I tried correcting the error right at the drive thru window, and a manager came to try and issue a refund. I ended up being charged about $7.50 for one order of custard, and was refunded $2.50 in cash by the manager. First of all, that still was not the correct amount refunded, second of all they should have been able to credit back the amount to my card. The staff tries to be helpful but they don't seem adequately trained. I feel like I can't go to this location anymore for fear of being...
Read moreDefinitely 5 stars on the sliding scale for fast food restaurants! Culver's in general offers sneaky good food and ice cream, and this is a solid and standard location in that regard.
Unique positives to this particular location: -The GM or franchise owner is a very, very kind man who his employees seem to look up to. -They seem to be a healthy entry point for people entering the food industry. There are lots of teens working, but like with Chick-Fil-A, they are friendly, focused, and well-trained. -I also had an especially positive experience with the GM/franchise owners when helping a friend down on his luck who was seeking employment. He was generous and respectful with his time and attention. -I have been offered free coffee on multiple occasions when dining in at an unusual time. Can't go wrong with partnering free coffee and delicious custard.
Unique negatives to this particular location: -Leaving the location! It's not their fault, but turning left out of here is basically a lost cause 95% of the time. If you need to travel westbound on Manchester, you are better off hanging a right and finding a place to...
