[New Review as of June 2021]
So, I just want to pre-face this that I am pretty sad writing this. Savelli's has some of the best food I have every eaten. It's amazing, that is, when you can eat there. They are open from 3pm to 8:30pm Monday to Friday; I am not sure if it is due to lack of staff or a change in hours due to Covid-19 or something else. I am a electrician that works weekdays which unfortunately means I no longer have the time to eat here. I used to be able to get lunch here on the rare days I had work over in Manitou, but now I can't eat at my favorite restaurant. Look, I just want to say that the food is super delicious, it really is. But until they (Hopefully) change the hours so that I have the ability to eat here I have to change my score. The food is five stars, seriously, but I can't eat here anymore. My work schedule doesn't allow it. I love you guys and I can't wait to eat here again, but until then I am super sad.

Alright, so where do I even start?
So, this place is probably my favorite restaurant I have ever eaten at. And by far this is the best pizza I have ever had.
Amazingly delicious pizza. The best way I can describe it is a almost hybrid pan / handtossed pizza. The sauce is amazingly flavorful and tasty. The cheese is a delicious blend which is always perfectly cooked.
Incredible breadsticks as well. As I have said before, these breadsticks are the best hands down. Simple, but super savory and salty. And the marinara is always served hot and compliments the bread perfectly.
Beyond that I can't say to much about the food. The pizza is so good I couldn't ever think of ever ordering anything else. But from viewing other people in the restaurant I can pretty safely say the rest of the food is quite good as well.
Service is great. All of the workers are super friendly and I eat there so much they remember my order! The restaurant is always clean and was somewhat recently renovated.
A while ago they got new managment which had caused me worry over the thought that they might change their amazing pizza, but thankfully they didn't. It's the same amazing pizza as always.
All in all, whether you are local or visiting, Savelli's is one of the best restaurants and pizza...
Read moreSo this is a long story. My friends and came here after a long workout and we were ravenous. My friends ordered the chicken parmesan and I ordered the chicken alfredo and wings for our appetizers.
We waited about 15 minutes before one of the cooks/employees came to tell us that they were out of fried chicken for the chicken parmesan dishes and only had regular chicken left. They did offer to give us mazzarella sticks (and something else on the plate but I don't know what its called) for the trouble and my friends accepted.
The mozzarella sticks arrived about 7 minutes later. They were cold in the inside and the batter was soggy, obviously undercooked (as well as the other thing on the plate). We were a little disappointed, but hey they were free so we didn't complain.
The main dishes arrived about 10 minutes after the mazzerella sticks. The dishes looked good, but the chicken on all of our plates were cold, and so was the pasta. Congealed and absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it had been frozen and just thrown in the microwave. (I was so hungry after my workout but didn't even eat half my plate because it was so gross).
We didn't get the wings till almost 20 minutes after the main dishes (and it was supposed to be the appetizer). The cook from earlier explained (after I asked) that they didn't have enough wings to fill my order and had to wait for the delivery guy to unload. Okay, we waited.
The wings were delicious and frankly the only redeeming quality food wise. The staff were very kind and the manager gave us $5 gift card for us waiting so long for our food. But, with the majority of our dishes being unappealing and unappatizing, I don't think it was worth a $65 bill for 3 people.
One star for the food (wish I could give it 0 but the wings were good) and one star for the great staff, but honestly I probably won't...
Read moreThe placed looked like a great place to some Italian food from. Not sure if that is true as of yet.. I ordered carry out of lasagna, stuffed shells, pizza, and some other things. They said everything would be ready in 20 minutes.
I waited 30 minutes and went to pick up my order. After the waitress looked lost for several minutes. She talked to another waitress. The other waitress approaches me to inform me " sir I'm sorry but we have not placed your order" " i will go place it now and it will be another 30 minutes or so"
What is the point of.. -calling a restaurant -paying an employee to take orders -telling such employee your order -her repeating it back to you
And then ......nothing
All seems to be pointless. The seems to be the opinion i have of this restaurant ..pointless and a waste of time
Then after over 30 minutes i came back. Then some manager guy comes up and says how they messed up again.
Hey come back in another 20 minutes.
I waited about 30 minutes more and went back. The guy once again says sir it is not ready.
Then guess what he says...
Come back in another 10 minutes or so. Then he tries to tell me some weird and lame story as to how this is my fault.
Like I'm the stoned one in this situation.
I wait another 15 minutes and my food was still not ready.
After roughly an hour and a half after my food was "supposed " to be ready.
I get it and guess what? Of course it isn't everything i ordered.
In short....there are soo many good places to eat around here.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!!
This place is the worst place that i have ever visited.
Do Not go HERE!!
