Flat out WORST dining experience I have ever had was at this restaurant. My husband and I arrived early to grab a table for us and our friends. It started out great as we were brought waters. Our friends arrived and we had all placed our orders. No big deal. We were all enjoying ourselves! When the food arrived, everyone got their meals brought out except for me. The waitress went back to the kitchen area so I figure she was grabbing my meal. Nope. After about 10 minutes, one of my friends takes a break from her meal and gets up to go physically find the waitress for me since I was sitting on the inside of our seating area. Waitress claims I didn't order anything. I had a table full of people that witnessed me place my order. We watched her supposedly write it down. Magically, my dinner was eventually brought out to me after my friends were nearly done with their meal...Interesting considering my friend didn't remember what I ordered and the waitress claimed I didn't even place one. It was ice cold. I took one bite of the baked chicken and it tasted rubbery and gross. I sent it back. At this point my friends were done eating and had to leave. The manager comes over and asks if I wanted another made and brought out to me. No! My friends have to leave and the whole reason I went out to dinner in the first place was to enjoy a meal with them and now you want me to eat cold food alone? The waitress made this whole situation seem like it was my fault even though it became rather apparent she simply forgot to bring out my meal (why else would it be cold?) and couldn't be honest about it. I had lost my appetite. I was then offered free dessert which I turned down. I'm diabetic and filling up with sugar is not ideal. Dessert was then offered to the whole table for free, which everyone turned down due to how awkward this entire situation was getting. I was very upset by this whole ordeal and how I was treated. No apology, just sugary dessert trying to be shoved into my face. No thanks. I had already taken medication in preparation for my meal and at that point, I couldn't wait for them to potentially mess up another order. My husband and I ended up going home where I made myself sandwich. A fun night out was ruined by a careless waitress's poor attitude and forgetfulness. Not sure I would ever recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will likely never be back. Don't come here unless you want the worst dining experience...
Read moreDuring social distancing, we ate applebees take out weekly and it was amazing, tasty, fast, and everything we expect from Applebees. HOWEVER, tonight we had a completely different experience so bad we will tell everyone we know not to do their sit down service and certainly will not be back. First, our waiter (Leroy) avoided any form of greeting or contact for an extremely long time even discussing us with other table. I have medical issues that result in hair loss and my weight issues which he should never had had a comment about. He should have asked someone else to take our table rather than discuss his opinions of us or aversion to assisting us. After approximately 25 minutes he finally greeted us and said he would be back for our drink orders. He did not come back for another 10-12 minutes. He then took our drink orders and gave us our menus. It was another extended period of time and he came with two of the four drinks and our appetizer. We nicely asked for the other two drinks in our order. They did not come. We finished our appetizer and went think of paying and leaving because we had now been there over an hour without two of out drinks, food, or even any form of kindness from our waiter. Our food finally came with no drinks. When the lady (who was not our waiter) came out she acted snarky like we were being unreasonably impatient and said "we wouldn't want you to be thirsty." By this point the two who had received drinks first asked for a refill only to receive a look like we were bothering them. My daughter's meal was make incorrectly (the wrong thing). The waiter's response was that this wasnt spicy so my daughter should eat it this way (reguardless of her autism or the fact that this was not how or what we ordered) They only fixed part of it and charged us for both the remake and what was originally serviced. Nothing was ever cleared from our table to we were eating under a mountain of empty cups and dirty plates. They also charged me for a complete virgin daiquiri and then the alcohol as a separate drink even though it was a single strawberry daiquiri. We knew we were being ripped off but but that point we were done, didnt care and completely heart broken that our favorite restaurant that we had supported during their closure had treated...
Read moreSo for the most part this place is good and what you expect when you go to an applebee's, isn't below your average most of the time you visit. I come here at least 3 times a month. However, tonight when we came for dinner had one of the weirdest experiences at a restaurant. Went to dinner with my fiancée and she got a hair in her food, server took it back, got new one made right away, and was told the manager would take it off. Okay fine happens sometimes and fixed the issue fast. End of meal server brings bill. Has the salad comped but then another one added to the bill, I inform the server and she goes to get the manager. The manager was very rude about this situation. When I tell him that another salad was added to the bill he goes "So?" I inform him how their was hair in the food and was told it be comped, he asks "Well we got you a new one in like two minutes" I have to state how was told it be comped and he acted insulted that we would ask for this to be free. I've been server and bartender for over ten years and never seen a manager be so insistent about trying to get someone to pay for food that had hair in it, no matter how fast the fix happened. Been to this restaurant many times and first time I've seen this manager Justin, don't know how high he is on the totem pole but was the most baffled I've ever been dealing with a manager of a restaurant before we had to laugh about it all night. Trust me I never try to complain about stuff to get food, once you work in the food industry you understand how some people try to abuse it, but in this situation it was expected and the managers actions during it was...
