Attempted to contact owner/management through MULTIPLE different channels (call, email, HQ website) but never heard back, so here I am. The situation I’m about to discuss happened 5/15/24, and i’m writing this on 6/1/24. I am not one to normally write reviews, as I believe things can always be handled in private. However, after being ignored for weeks, here I am. I went in around 9 PM, and ordered 2 bud lights- one for me, one for my partner. Halfway through the first pour, the keg was tapped. No biggie- but I noticed the half poured glass was still sitting there. “Surely she’s not going to serve that” my partner and I reiterated back and fourth. 3-4 minutes later, after the keg was changed, she decided to top off the half full beer that had been sitting there for 4 MINUTES. I went up to her and politely asked for a new beer, before it even hit the table, and in a rude tone, she asked why. I told her that it was because the beer was sitting there while she went to change the keg. Boy, was she NOT happy with my ask. My new beer? Poured VERTICALLY, ALL FOAM, as she dumped out the foam to top it off. I was truly shocked seeing that, she poured it like it was a fountain soda. The beers were brought to the table, mine was fine, but when my partner told me his was fine, I knew he was lying. On the way out, he told me that his beer was terrible, and the only reason he didn’t tell me right then and there was because I would’ve made sure we left. After I asked for a new beer and made it back to my table, all waitresses swarmed around her and it was obvious she was talking about me. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant before. I HIGHLY suggest you watch CCTV footage- like I said I was in shortly after 9 PM on 5/15/24. She truly needs to be retrained, as I saw her put the spout IN the glass/touching it as well. I’ve truly never seen anything like this before, and I do not feel...
Read moreThe food was great and the service was fast. I would recommend getting the pulled pork or the wings.
Here is a little information from their website:
In 1979 two professors at the University of Colorado started Boulder Brewing Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery. At that time there were only 42 other operating breweries in the country! The original site of the brewery was a small farm northeast of Boulder, the brew house sharing space in a shed originally housing a few goats.
In a world of light yellow lagers, Boulder Brewing Company won industry and consumer accolades for its line of bold Boulder Beers: Boulder Porter, Stout and Extra Special Bitter. Five years later the brewery moved to 2880 Wilderness Place in Boulder and expanded from its original one-barrel brewing system to a 50-barrel brew house with top-of-the-line packaging equipment.
In 1990 Boulder Brewing Company was purchased by Gina Day and Diane Greenlee, and they transformed the factory into a brewery and restaurant, renaming the business“ Boulder Beer Company.”. This same year Brewmaster David Zuckerman joined the Company and soon introduced Colorado favorites Buffalo Gold and Singletrack Rye Pale Ale.
In 1994 Boulder Beer Company converted the original tasting room to a full-menu pub with an epic, dog-friendly patio under the iconic Flatirons Mountains. In addition to providing year-round brewery fresh beer favorites, including nitro and cask offerings, the pub provided a full-service restaurant with food, wine, and spirits. The pub also featured free public brewery tours and live music events on the patio during the...
Read moreWe had heard good things about this place, specifically about their burgers and their alcoholic teas. Both true! We visited on a Saturday around 5. We did not have to wait and were seated in a booth right away. Our server was excellent and very attentive. Our food was delicious-- carnitas tacos, mushroom burger, sweet potato fries--all very good. The inside of the building was not at all what we expected. The outside makes it seem more upscale than it is. The inside is reminiscent of my grandparents' basement with the dark paneled walls, old carpet, and tired furnishings. Everything was in need of a good deep cleaning. I cringed as I watched a toddler crawling on the carpet! The ambiance pretty much consists of a large collection of taps, large screens all on different channels, and 80's music playing in the background. It's definitely a loud place. The menu had several fun options we will likely try out in the future, but probably via takeout, which seems to be a pretty streamlined operation here with a shelf just inside the door.
Update: I visited again with a group of friends on a Thursday night. Our group waited about 30 minutes for our food after ordering. I ordered the street corn bowl with chicken. My first bite was crazy spicy, so I asked for sour cream. It turned out to be inconsistently seasoned and not that spicy overall. Other than that, it was a good dish. Our server was very attentive. The carpet still looks like it needs to be cleaned and there were spills on the tiles floor that almost made me slip on our way out. My 3 star rating...
