For quick, reliable, and "customer friendly", courteous service in a "Mexican-themed" fast food restaurant, Taco Bell is the place you want to go! I have had an "on-going relationship" with this great fast food place over many years in several cities that we've called our home, however, I want to share some thoughts now about the Taco Bell restaurant here in Mankato,"up on the hill" which is conveniently located between the parking areas for "Wal-Mart", and "Sam's Club". For economical, good-tasting, quickly prepared and served, " Mexican" food, their menu line-up is fantastic. I especially have enjoyed the variety of items that make up not only their combo meals, yet also their compact " box meals", which are convenient, easy and ready to go. Whether eating inside the attractively decorated restaurant with its colorful walls and furnishings, including original canvas paintings created especially for the restaurant; or going through the drive-through surrounding a portion of their building, outside, or ordering inside and taking your food to go with you, each method of ordering will assure their customers, they're getting great tasting food. Of special note are their multiple varieties of burritos, taco combos, extra special nacho platters, salads, cheese sauces and other tasty condiments to further enhance the already great flavors. Specialities of various food items keep their menus fresh and up to date. As an example, their newest offerings of "naked chicken" fillets as part of their crowd-pleasing chalupas, either seperately or as a part of their combo meals, is tasty, flavorful, and with just the right amount of seasonings to complement other sauces and toppings. New items and the return of "old favorites", from time to time, help to keep the menu both new and fondly remembered! How can customers go wrong with limitless drink refills, helpful employees who offer personal clean up service for disposable items after meals are finished, and remember the kids and other family members, with "cinnamon twist" dessert freebies as well?! There is one more consideration that needs to be mentioned: throughout the year, Taco Bell makes it possible for customers to donate a dollar or two to help out local charitable organizations both within and outside of their own immediate community. For example, right now their is a fundraiser through the "Taco Bell Foundation", which has been created to offer scholarships for students who will be the next generation of future innovators, and their endeavors to research, learn, and create new ideas and ways of accomplishing them by putting them in practice and making their hope's and dreams; realities. Good food, friendly service, and caring and concern for charitable organizations, both within and outside of the Mankato community are the trademarks of our "local"Taco Bell, and its employees. Amazing, isn't it, how much "flavor" can be added to our lives? Go have a meal there, and see...
Read moreI recently went through the drive-thru at the Taco Bell on Madison Ave and was incredibly impressed by the service provided by Mario. His exceptional customer service made what is usually a routine stop a truly memorable experience.
From the moment I pulled up to the speaker, Mario’s friendly and energetic voice made me feel welcome. He patiently took my order, offering insightful suggestions and answering all my questions about the menu with enthusiasm and expertise. His recommendations were spot-on, making my meal even better than expected.
Despite the busy rush, Mario ensured my order was prepared accurately and swiftly. When I arrived at the window, he greeted me with a warm smile and confirmed each item to make sure everything was perfect. It was clear that he took pride in his work and genuinely cared about providing top-notch service.
Mario’s attention to detail was also evident in how he packed my order. Everything was neatly organized, and he made sure to include plenty of napkins, sauces, and utensils without me having to ask. His thoughtful preparation made my drive-thru meal hassle-free and enjoyable.
What truly set Mario apart was his genuine kindness and positive attitude. He took the time to thank me for my visit and wished me a great day, which left a lasting impression. It’s not often that a drive-thru experience stands out, but Mario’s exceptional service did just that.
Overall, Mario’s dedication to excellent customer service transformed my quick stop at Taco Bell into an outstanding experience. I’ll definitely be returning to this location, knowing that employees like Mario make it a standout choice.

Read moreI had an online order that I stopped to pick up in the drive-through at the drive-through. After waiting patiently for about 20 minutes (it was busy), when I pulled up to the order speaker and informed the person that I was picking up an order. The person who turned out to be the manager working took the order and mumbled something. The only part I heard was “pull ahead”, so I pulled up to the window. The kid working (again, the manager) started throwing a fit about me not waiting at the speaker until told to pull ahead and that it now created a backlog of orders for him. I told him I didn’t understand what he said. He Began explaining that no his people would have to make four orders and I told him I didn’t understand but OK. After about eight minutes he came to the window With my food and had attitude about it. You shut the window before handing me my soda and I waved to him that I still needed my soda and he Stood there like he didn’t believe me and checked my receipt and then had to be the soda. I asked For his name and he just shut the window Walked away. I called the restaurant afterwards hoping to speak to a manager but it turns out that this kid was actually the manager. Andwhen I asked for his name he said I don’t have to give you my name and hung up the phone. I can’t believe that this kid is in trusted with being the manager at night when there is no supervision around. Getting attitude with customers even though it’s understandable that time to get stressful it was busy but just is not professional and I have a feeling with the way the kid behaved that I’m not the first and probably not the last customer that he...
