Went to the Mansfield location last night. 4 stars because our food was good as usual. But we had one of the worst waitresses we have ever had at Olive garden. My receipt says her name was Melody H (older lady, light brownish hair pulled back, very grouchy face, never smiled). It was apparent from the start our small table of 3 was not important to her. She had a few other larger tables and i guess she decided those took precident to us. We ordered our drinks and food. My husband wasnt starving so he was just gonna share with my son and I (he was there for dessert). I ordered my entree with salad and My kiddo ordered the kids chicken fingers and spaghetti, I asked if we could do alfredo sauce instead of spaghetti sauce. She simple said yes and then went to put in our order. But first she said bread was being made and she would bring it as soon as possible ( that's my son's favorite part of olive garden so we love to have a few breadsticks each). She left to put in our order and to her other tables, within a minute of her leaving a waiter at the table next to us brought there table the fresh bread and then the table behind us was also brought fresh bread. We didnt see our waitress for about 10 minutes. She came with my salad and said all the bread had run out but she would again bring it once more was ready. We saw her bring her bigger tables bread, but once again our table of 3 was not important. Since it was just me who got salad she brought me a very small one, alot of croutons and onions which I normally don't eat (I'm kinda boring, just want the lettuce and carrots coated in the yummy dressing). When she came back maybe 8-10 minutes later with our entree I asked her if I could get another small salad and she said NO. She said since it is just me eating it she would have to charge me for a "refill". I have been going to olive garden my whole life and have never had someone say salad was not unlimited, especially because the first bowl she brough me was barely enough to even make a full porton when i put in on my salad plate. Even when I get soup they will give a refill no charge. I think she was just being lazy and didn't want to get get another one. I annoyingly laughed and said nevermind, just asked her if bread was ready to which she again replied no, but said she would bring it soon. We ate our entrees needed refills, but didn't even bother, just started sharing drinks because Melody was no where to be found. Then finally I see her and flag her down to ask her to put in an order of the dessert we wanted for to-go since we were annoyed and ready to leave. She leaves to put in the order and then comes back a few minutes later with breadsticks. Lol we are done with our meals, ordered dessert and now she remembers breadsticks...what a joke. No thanks. I use the little table kiosk to pay my bill and I see that for my son's kids meal she charged me $2.29 to switch to the alfredo sauce on his pasta. If thats the rules thats fine, but She never mentioned there would be a charge, and if she would have mentioned it we wouldn't have changed it ( he likes both, just asked if he could have alfredo). I didn't even want to argue with her about it. I Paid my bill, no tip to makeup for no bread, no salad refill and the charge for sauce, and thank goodness left. We love olive garden, but when you come here make sure you have a different waitress, you've...
Read moreMy mom and I went to the Mansfield location on March 15th, around 7:00. I love Olive Gardens shrimp scampi, and order it every time. We both ordered our entrees and I told the waitress to leave off the tomatoes. Then, we told our waitress we wanted salad with ranch. When she brought the salad, at first glance we couldn't see any ranch dressing, so we asked for some extra. When she left to go get it, I mixed the salad and realized it did have dressing, but it was Italian dressing. So when the waitress came back with what we thought was going to be RANCH, it was Italian dressing, so we asked for a whole different salad with ranch. When she came back with our salad, we couldn't tell once again there was any dressing on it, and also noticed it was loaded with banana peppers and huge chunks of red onion, and not one tomato. By this time a man who we think was the manager asked us how everything was. We told him about the salad situation, so he brought us another one with everything done correctly. After that, our entrees arrived and I immediately noticed my shrimp scampi was loaded with tomatoes, so the waitress asked if I wanted them taken off, and I told her yes, and said I specifically asked for shrimp scampi without tomatoes. I then waited forever for her to return, and meanwhile my mom completely finished her meal. When the waitress finally brought another order of shrimp scampi out, I ate a few bites and noticed an awful taste like never before, like my meal had been tampered with..like with some kind of cleaner or something. I asked my mom to taste of it to see if I was imagining things, and nope!..I wasn't imagining, she 100% agreed that it tasted like some sort of cleaner or chemicals. I was so over the whole bad experience with the horrible service from the get go, and told the waitress that I didn't want to be charged for my shrimp scampi and why. She said okay, and asked if I wanted to order something else, so I decided to just order an appetizer. It came, and I was happy with how it tasted, but by this time my mom and I had been there forever because of the fiasco with my meal and the salad mess up. Anyway, it was bad enough that I believe my meal had been messed with, but when I got the ticket, I was actually charged $4.95 for the salad! I was shocked after the bad service that I would be charged extra for the salad. The manager said it was because when I RE- ordered something, it was an appetizer, and that salads only come free of charge with entrees🙄 First, I should've known better than to return my entree, for fear of it being messed with..which I truly believe happened by the way it tasted, and second..I will never again go to the Mansfield Olive Garden. I will stick with the Burleson location from now on. Such a disappointment for the amount of money spent...
Read moreWe arrived a little before 2pm for a late lunch. The restaurant was not packed at this time however when we asked to sit in a booth the 2 hosts fumbled back and forth as to which booth to sit our party of 3! We where sat at a clean booth and out waitress was promptly there to take our drink orders. We ordered waters and 2 cocktails. They got the waters out right away but the drinks didn't show up for 30 minutes. The soup and salad didn't make its way to the table quickly at all. It was a 37 minute wait for those items. Our entrees came out 48 minutes after we placed our order. The waitress was not really that attentive. I had an empty water glass and my cocktail glass and she just took the cocktail glass and didn't even bother to ask if I wanted more water. Of course once we paid at the table kiosk the waitress was happy to get us anything we needed so we could get up and get out.
The menu is very small compared to years ago and it seems to just be missing the mark. My son ordered a kids entree and wanted to sub Alfredo for the marinara the waitress told us there would be an upcharge which I was fine with and once I saw the receipt I was blown away that they would charge $2.29 to sub a ladle full of sauce you have just sitting in the pan in the back. Like a full jar of Alfredo costs that much at the store. Olive Garden has really lost its luster in my eyes. The food is good but the wait times and inattentive staff really kill...
