HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I walked in on my 30 minute lunch break for the first time ever. It's set up something like chipotle with the cafeteria line style serving. Naturally, I'm expecting to be asked down the line what I would like in my dish. The first thing the employee "blanca" asks me as i walked up is "do you want chicken." I replied "sure". So she tosses whatever chicken she chooses onto the tortilla. The menu clearly offers 2 different choices but apparently the decision was already made for me. She then asks do I want Pico de gallo, I said no and she continues to toss some shredded cheese onto the tortilla. Then then folds the tortilla and puts it in the grill. I asked the lady at the register if I had the option to add beans and rice and whatever else I would like to my dish and she said I do. When I told Blanca that I wanted to add these things she then pulls out cups, I guess to give me them on the side. I told her that I actually wanted them inside but she didn't ask or give me a chance before she put my food on the grill. The manager then walks up and said "well people don't normally add those things". I said "okay well I would have liked to add them but I was not asked". She manager Felipe then has the nerve to say to me "We don't have to ask you". At this point my 30 minute lunch was spent and I just left. Hungry and headed to finish out my 12 hour shift without a...
Read moreThis is my 1st time trying Qdoba. The location is good - busy corner near a Starbucks and Walmart.
The menu and ordering setup reminds me of Chipotle. You can choose between a bowl, a burrito, 3 tacos, and a quesidilla format. I chose the 3 tacos (to try out their meats - which is not listed on the menu.) After I chose 3 soft corn tacos, I got chicken, steak, and I'm couldn't quite understand what the guy said (thick accent) it was, but it looked/tasted like barbacoa. I also got some chips and queso. Finished off with a Lipton raspberry tea.
For $25, that really wasn't enough food IMO. The 3 tacos were the small size corn tortillas you see at the grocery store. And the chips and queso, not like the huge bags you get from The Mexican Inn. (If I got a burrito, would it have been bigger?) The food was meh. Very mediocre. The queso was thick - as if it's been on heat too long, but if that's the way it's supposed to be, that's not my thing. The best tasting meat was the unsure barbacoa.
Dining area: makes me feel like I'm sitting at Subway. Very bland setup. No music like Chipotle. No "Latin" atmosphere.
Final take: Chipotle wanna be that doesn't taste as good and has none of the cool vibes. Probably fine if you're hungry in general and dont want a burger. Is Clean...
Read moreI am giving this establishment 1 star simply because, I have no choice but to do so. If I could review this place w/ 0 stars, I would. My husband and I stopped in for a quick meal. A very nice gentleman greeted us and began to take my order. I informed him that I would like a small surf and turf bowl. He then asked a co-worker if he could do this. His co- worker never looked up but told him, no! You can’t do that! She then says, how are you going to portion that out? Really!!! It’s a small bowl, use smaller portions. After telling her that I didn’t want a large bowl, that I wanted a small one as I wanted smaller portions she continued with her nasty attitude. My husband asked, is there a problem with making a small bowl for her? Another co-worker informed the lady that yes, it could be done-just use smaller portions. She was totally against it. Needless to say, due to her unprofessionalism and the inability to communicate positively and effectively with customers- I decided to leave. I will not spend my money where it is not wanted or appreciated. This lady either needs to be retrained or put in another position to where she no longer has to communicate with customers as her customer...
