My recent visit to Dino'd left me with mixed feelings. While the sandwiches were decent, the overall experience fell short of expectations.
Sandwich Quality: The sandwiches were satisfactory, but they lacked the wow factor. The ingredients seemed fresh, but the flavor combinations were uninspired. The bread was neither too hard nor too soft, but it didn't stand out either. Overall, the sandwiches were average and didn't leave a lasting impression. They also forgot our sides we asked for...
Service: The service was adequate, but nothing remarkable. The staff were polite enough, but they didn't go above and beyond to make the experience memorable. The wait times were reasonable, but there wasn't much interaction beyond placing the order and receiving the food.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was underwhelming. The interior was plain and lacked character, making it feel more like a generic fast-food joint than a cozy sandwich shop. There wasn't much ambiance to speak of, and the seating area felt cramped and uncomfortable.
Price: The prices were reasonable for what you get, but considering the mediocrity of the sandwiches, it felt a bit overpriced. I would have expected better value for money considering the competition in the area.
Overall Dinos was an okay option if you're in a pinch and need a quick bite, but don't expect anything exceptional. There are certainly better sandwich shops out there...
Read moreFirst, parking in the area in the summer sucks. Walk in there, place is near empty and has idle employees but tables have not been wiped down (not exactly inviting). A lot of accumulated food bits between where the bench ends and where it attaches to the wall. Sorry but that is nasty. Was with small children and they literally forgot to make their food. One of my party ordered a cheese steak and it had no cheese on it. I placed an order to go for when I left, they forgot to make it/didn't give the ticket to the grill. Place has been a gold mine for decades, it's time to pony up and get a computer people. Stop being cheap and charging 3% fee for credit cards because you post that you want cash (hello--we all know how the IRS works, we're not morons). Greedy owner, pig sty of a restaurant. Plenty of other fine sub shops very close by, some with outdoor seating and more parking. The food we actually managed to get was fine. Hope you like your sub toasted because they do it without asking anyway. Glad I'm not paying inept young employees to stand there drinking Starbucks and text while they screw up orders and let the place be filthy! Maybe that's why the owner needs the extra 3% credit card fee? I don't care who's been there, how much they like it, or how long it's been there. It's always been overrated...
Read moreI was really excited to eat here. I’m visiting south jersey for a month and searched out “the best Italian hoagie” and was drawn to Dino’s. 1/2 hour drive- it’s worth it for the best right?
I looked at the pictures- quaint seating. Perfect! So I get covid. But it’s 14mo since it started. Not opening your dining room...admit it..it’s your ownerships laziness. You like not having interaction with your customers. You don’t want to clean up after them. Listen to them. You didn’t drop your prices- you just prefer not giving them as much value for the money. So that was a bummer..but I was still going to go through with getting a less quality having to driving the bogies back to where I’m staying. (In my opinion it doesn’t taste as good after its been smashed down in the wrapping)
So after ordering- (the place is empty except for the 6 people behind the counter) she asks us to wait outside. I didn’t bring a jacket. It’s 46° and windy. No way. That’s pushing the boundaries of terrible service. Just laziness. Lack of caring for your customer. I’m sure you’ll do fine. It’s an established business. But you suck at caring about your customer as much as yourself.
Keep the food....
